American rapper, Kiari Kendrell Cephus, popularly known as Offset has excited music lovers with news of an upcoming record between himself and Grammy Award singer, Burna Boy.
Offset in his post on social media announced that multiple award-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid was the preferred artiste for the collaboration but he could not afford the rates Wizkid’s management was giving him as it was too expensive.
Offset added that he was left with no option but to go for Burna Boy, the second less expensive option.
The famous rapper however expressed his gratitude to Burna Boy for agreeing to work with him on his record and teased fans to anticipate the record which drops soon.
He wrote; “Myself and @burnaboygram got some fire coming!!! I reached out to Wizkid’s team so that he can jump on my record, but that mf was too expensive. Had to go for someone lower than him. Thank you so much @burnaboyfram.”
As expected, fans of Wizkid are trolling Burna Boy after the ‘harmless’ post from Offset. They claimed the rapper’s post confirms that Wizkid is indeed bigger than Burna Boy on the international market.
Steflon Don, the ex-girlfriend of Burna Boy also made a similar post on her social media handle over the weekend talking about how Burna Boy’s ego has prevented him from accepting that he is nowhere close to the Starboy.
