Meghan Markle Officially Requests ‘One-on-One’ Meeting With King Charles III To ‘Clear The Air’

Actress Meghan Markle has reportedly requested a one-on-one meeting with her father-in-law and the new King of England, Charles III.

The meeting, according to NBC news’ royal correspondent Neil Sean, is to clear the air about any disagreements the two might have.

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, returned to the UK over the past couple of weeks since Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, tragically passed.

“She’d now like [to], before they return back to California, to have a one-to-one audience with King Charles III,” Sean said.

“That’s right, Meghan one-to-one with King Charles III. You heard correct. And what’s interesting here is, according to that good source, this was made in a formal letter, this is how you write to the King. Now you have to admire Meghan’s self-belief, whatever you think,” he added.

Sean said that the letter served as “an opportunity to clear the air, put the rights from wrongs and explain some of the rationale behind what they’ve been doing over the last two years. Truthfully we have no idea if this is going to go forward. It’s a very brave move from Meghan herself.”

The relationship between Prince Harry and his family became strained after he announced he was moving to America with his wife and stepping away from his royal duties.

There has been a lot of acrimony following that and Meghan apparently hopes to put everything behind her with this meeting.

As to whether the King would approve of a meeting – well, we live to see.
