Fresh Looking Funny Face Returns To Stand-up Comedy After Mental Breakdown – Sadly Narrates How He Almost Committed Suicide

Veteran Ghanaian comic actor, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has returned to stand-up comedy for the first time in 10 years.

Funny Face performed at a recent show during which he talked about his mental breakdown and how he nearly committed suicide.

This comes after suffering a pretty public mental breakdown which ended with him being admitted at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.

Following his hospitalisation, Funny Face spent a long time out of the public eye and returned looking better than ever.

He has returned to his normal self and now returned to his first love – stand-up comedy.

Since becoming famous, Funny Face has been more of a comic actor than a stand-up comic.

In his first set in 10 years, he spoke about how he felt so depressed and tried committing suicide.

According to him, he went out to buy medicine to use to kill himself but eventually, he decided against it.

Funny Face used a lot of his sad story as material for his act and also encouraged fans that no matter what they’re going through, they will survive it just as he did.
