The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has announced she has “43 percent Nigerian blood running through her veins.”
Meghan, 41, discovered she has strong ties to Nigeria after researching her family history “a couple of years ago.”

Additionally, Meghan explained on her ‘Archetypes’ podcast to Nigerian-American star Ziwe:
“I just had my genealogy done a couple of years ago. I’m 43 percent Nigerian.”
Ziwe responded by asking Meghan if she knew anything else about her family history.
“Are you serious? This is huge. Igbo, Yoruba, do we know?” Ziwe asked.
The Duchess, who has two children with Prince Harry: Archie, three, and Lilibet, 16 months, went on to say:

“I’m going to start to dig deeper into all of this because anyone that I’ve told, especially Nigerian women, are just like, ‘What?'”
