Self-proclaimed dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has broken his silence on reports he refused to perform at a show he was billed to appear at in the Volta Region.
Journalist Captain Smart of Onua TV used his show on Monday, November 7th 2022 to warn Shatta Wale that he should not mess with the people of the Volta Region since they are not to be trifled with.
Smart’s anger stemmed from Wale being a no-show at the Onua Festival Train Beach Rave concert slated to be held over the weekend as part of the Hogbetsotso festival.
Wale reportedly showed up at the venue but ultimately, refused to perform.
After being slammed by Captain Smart, he has popped up online to respond.
According to the ‘dancehall king’, organisers of the show failed to accord him the needed response as Shatta Wale.
Wale alleges that after arriving in the Volta Region, he did not even get taken to a hotel to lodge. He added that he was pampered and shown enough respect as Shatta Wale.
He also sent a warning to Captain Smart for his remarks.
