The Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has finally returned to Parliament after almost a year.
Following her prolonged absence, she was stripped of her responsibilities as Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection.

The former minister, who lived in the USA, had come under fire for her continuous absence from Parliament.
Sarah Adwoa Safo requested a leave of absence in 2021 to attend to personal issues in a statement dated Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
Adwoa Safo’s leave was to have ended on August 31, 2021, but was further extended indefinitely.
Fortunately, she has officially returned to Parliament, where she sat with her fellow MPs to take care of the business of her constituency.
After proceedings in the house, the media caught up with her for a chat, where she remarked that she was back and hoped everything ran smoothly.
