A contestant on the 2022 edition of Akua GMB’s beauty pageant, Miss Golden Stool, fainted in a shocking moment during the recent finale of the show.
Whilst on Live Tv, Obroni, as she’s known, collapsed from shock after being named as the first runner-up of the show instead of the winner.
However, prior to collapsing, Obroni had been swaying a bit on stage, showing she was unstable and possibly physically unwell, yet organisers did nothing to help her.
Even after collapsing, the MC went on with the show like nothing happened!
After video of the moment went viral, there was a huge backlash against the organisers over how the incident was handled.
Hence, organisers have now sent out Obroni to carry out some damage control.
Appearing on Sister Sandy’s show, she attempted to explain away the moment.
According to Obroni, she hadn’t eaten anything before the show which contributed to her collapsing.
She also said she was feeling a bit unwell prior to the show.
She attempted to debunk reports that she fainted out of shock because she had bribed her way to win the show or that organisers b*nked her and promised her the crown.
