Jada Pinkett, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Hadish And Regina Hall To Storm Ghana For ‘Girls Trip 2’

Top Hollywood actresses Jada Pinkett, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Hadish and Regina Hall are expected to be in Ghana to film the sequel to the movie Girl Trip.

Co-writer of the 2017 movie, Tracy Oliver, has confirmed that a sequel is in development and would be shot on location in Ghana.

Speaking to Variety at the Sundance Film Festival, Oliver said Girls Trip 2 is in development and would see the original cast return – this time for a trip to Afrochella in Ghana.

It’s officially happening. I can say that,” Oliver said.

Everyone’s coming back. No one else knows this [and Girls Trip producer] Will Packer might kill me but we’re looking to set it in Ghana,” she added.

She said the movie will see the four girls take a trip to Ghana for Afrochella!

The movie is still some ways away as Oliver has yet to even submit a script but there is no question it is coming on and Ghana is for now the favourite location.

The first Girls Trip was a box office success and grossed $140 million worldwide on a ~$20 million budget. Malcolm D. Lee directed the comedy centred on four gal pals who take a trip to the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
