Mahama Donates Ghc 5,000 To Atsu’s Family

Former President John Dramani Mahama has donated Ghc 5000 to the family of late Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu.

A delegation representing the former President visited the Twasam family in Accra on Monday, February 27th 2023.

Minority Chief Whip, Kwame Agbodza signed the book of condolence on behalf of former President Mahama.

He also presented 25 cartons of water and an amount of GHC5000 to the family, on behalf of the former President.

Other MPs in the delegation included Ada East Member of Parliament (MP) and Deputy Chief Whip Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe and Madina MP Xavier Sosu.

Christian Atsu died in the earthquake that devastated Turkey and Syria in early February.

Atsu, playing for Turking club Hatayspor at the time, was trapped under rubble in his building and would not be discovered until almost two weeks later.

His one-week observation comes off this weekend, Saturday, March 4th.
