The mother of Trooper Sherif Imoro, the soldier killed in Ashaiman, has denied reports that he was killed due to dating someone’s girlfriend.

Imoro died in Ashaiman after being stabbed by some unknown assailants.

He was a young soldier stationed in Sunyani who had reportedly come to Accra for some training and was killed on his way home to visit his family in Ashaiman where he grew up.

Following his death, the military invaded Ashaiman and carried out some brutal acts in retaliation.

Some reports also emerged that he died due to dating a girl who had a separate boyfriend and the guy and his cronies ambushed him.

Reacting to those reports, his mother said there is no truth to them.

According to her, Imoro was coming to visit his family when he was killed.
