A heartwarming video showing Christian Atsu‘s mother-in-law and father-in-law smiling and dancing adowa at the late footballer’s family house has stirred online reactions.
Atsu was buried following a state funeral at the forecourt of the State House in Accra, on Friday March 17th 2023.
The sad affair saw Atsu’s wife so disconsolate she could not read her tribute to him, with Atsu’s twin sister stepping in to complete it.

Following the sad affair, he was sent to his hometown in Ada Foah where he was laid to rest at his family’s house.
During a ceremony held at the house, a cultural troupe of Adowa dancers performed for the family.
At a point, they involved Atsu’s in-laws, who were seated there, encouraging them to join them in dancing.
They did so and the moment brought smiles to their faces which made fans happy.
“Thank God they’re smiling at least 🙏🏾,” one netizen said.

Meanwhile, Atsu’s wife, Marie Claire-Rupio and his kids visited his final resting place for a final time before jetting back to their base in Europe.
