NDC Will Fix All Issues With SIM Card Re-Registration When We Come Back Into Power – Sam George Promises

Published by

The Minority in Parliament has revealed that the incoming NDC administration will conduct another SIM re-registration exercise.

This is in response to the present administration’s SIM card re-registration plan, which went into effect on October 1, 2021, with the goal of battling fraud and keeping an eye on anyone involved in illegal acts via their phones.

Ghanaians were instructed to re-register their SIM cards under the current effort using their Ghana Cards. After the final date of May 31, 2023, those who disobeyed the order had their SIM cards terminated.

Samuel Nartey George, the Deputy Ranking Member on the Communications Committee of Parliament, voiced his concerns about the current re-registration procedure and emphasized the NDC government’s intention to carry out a thorough SIM re-registration exercise in the future during a media briefing in Parliament.
