A young Nungua citizen named Dela Anim has shown a great degree of integrity and honesty in a time when financial hardships appear to be the norm. The individual has given the authorities an undisclosed sum of money that is thought to be worth more than GHC 100,000.
In an interview with the Accra-based radio station Adom FM, Mr. Anim explained how he came upon the funds.
He claimed that when he was getting into a cab to go to the Accra district of Abossey-Okai, he happened to see a black polythene bag in the back seat.
When he opened it out of curiosity, he was shocked to see that the rubber inside was full of cedi notes.
He claimed that although his initial reaction was to warn the motorist, he decided not to do so because he did not trust the driver.
He then proceeded to Adom FM, which he thought was the appropriate location, with the rubber and its contents in tow. When the money was counted upon his arrival, he was taken aback to see that it exceeded GHC 100,000. In the bag with the cash, there was also an identity card.
