Stella Maris, the wife of Mr Ibu, has gone on Instagram to call out Jasmine Chioma Okafor, who is Ibu’s adopted daughter.
Stella Maris did the post in reaction to allegations flying around that she is trying to divert the money donated for Mr Ibu’s treatment to use in funding her lavish lifestyle.
Stella Maris is now alleging that Jasmine is the one spreading the rumour.
This comes just one year after Stella Maris publicly disclosed that Jasmine is not Ibu’s biological daughter. She insinuated at the time that Jasmine is Ibu’s girlfriend, a claim that Ibu’s sons from his previous relationship rubbished.
The public got to know of Mr Ibu’s health struggles in October through a social media appeal, which prompted a wave of support from fans and well-wishers who came forward to assist with his medical treatment.
In a statement posted on the actor’s Instagram page on Monday November 6, the family shared the challenging journey Mr Ibu has been through.
The full statement reads;
Good afternoon, Nigerians..
We want to appreciate everyone that has come through for our dad, saying we are grateful is an understatement and only the good Lord can thank you all enough for every help you’ve rendered.
As of 1 pm , noon today , Daddy has gone through 7 successful surgeries but to keep him alive and increase his chances of recovery one of his legs had to be amputated.. This development has been hard on us all but we’ve had to accept it as Daddy’s new reality to keep him alive.
Please we are still soliciting for support from well meaning Nigerians as this stage Daddy his is still one very delicate one and he needs all the help he can get.
Thank you everyone, the Okafor family is grateful and we don’t take you for granted. In due time daddy will personally acknowledge everyone who supported during this period as soon as he’s stable!
Anyway, it seems the contributions made by Nigerians to Mr Ibu has fallen into the wrong hands.
