WTM Tourism Awards Honors Cultural Oneness Festival in South Africa

World Travel Market (WTM), organizers of Responsible Tourism Awards Africa in South Africa, honours exceptional initiatives and individuals leading by example with sustainable tourism practices.

On April 11, 2024, Responsible Tourism Awards Africa honored respective individuals, brands and organisations who are changing the tourism and creative arts narrative in their respective countries, Africa and beyond.

The event drew an impressive crowd, with over 8,300 travel trade professionals, 577 exhibitors, 9,500 pre-scheduled meetings, and 200 speakers converging in Cape Town, South Africa.

The good news for Ghana is that Cultural Oneness Festival under the auspices of The Taste Of Afrika was recognized by World Travel Market (WTM), organisers of Responsible Tourism Awards Africa.

Thus, Responsible Tourism Awards Africa recognized Cultural Oneness Festival as One to Watch for championing cultural diversity via tourism, arts and culture in Ghana, Africa and beyond.
The Executive Chairman of the African Tourism Board accepted the Responsible Tourism Award on behalf of the Cultural Oneness Festival at WTM 2024.

The prestigious Responsible Tourism award was a well-deserved recognition for the impactful efforts of the Cultural Oneness Festival in promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism practices across Africa.

The Executive Chairman of the African Tourism Board, with great humility and gratitude, graciously accepted the award, acknowledging the dedicated team behind the festival’s success.

This significant achievement not only highlights the importance of fostering cultural exchange and unity but also serves as an inspiration for others in the tourism industry to prioritize responsible practices for the betterment of our planet and its diverse communities.

Cultural Oneness Festival is an initiative to promote cultural awareness, domestic tourism and the diverse rich culture of Africa and their outgrowth in the diaspora.

This year’s Cultural Oneness Festival is themed ‘Leveraging on our Strength for Shared Growth and Prosperity as One People’. It has been scheduled to take place at Tamale in the Northern Region from November 13 -16, 2024.

The Cultural Oneness Festival is expected to contribute to fostering mutual understanding and consolidating unity while developing and growing the tourism industry and attracting investment.
