A throwback video of KODA has popped up online where he was heard narrating about getting misdiagnosed and placed on a medication.

According to him, he has a medical condition he has been managing for some years now.

He explained that his condition G6PD prevented him taking any medication that had sulphur in it .

For educational purposes, G6PD is a condition causing red blood cells to break down in response to certain medication, infections or other stresses.
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is an inherited condition usually occurring in males.

It’s more common in those of African and Mediterranean descent. Triggers include infections, stress, fava beans, aspirin and other drugs.

Knowing the seriousness of his condition, KODA avoided certain medications throughout his school life.

But when he was sick and went to the hospital, he was given some medications which were having some side effects.

Out of curiosity, he decided to go a quick search about the medications he was given and realized they contained huge amounts of sulphur which was detrimental to his G6PD condition.

He then confronted the doctor only for him to just tell him he was sorry for prescribing the wrong medication to him.

This video by KODA has outraged several Ghanaians who have lashed out at the negligence of the medical teams in Ghana.

Some people in the comments section also revealed how some wrong prescriptions by doctors made them lose their loved ones.

They called on various authorities to ensure that the medical Doctor responsible for the mishap loses his medical license before putting more people in danger.

Meanwhile, Ghanaians are still mourning the death of KODA.
