Ghanaian singer, Itz Tiffany’s real name Tiffany Owusu is now certain to watch her sister living behind bars for the rest of her life.
Tiffany’s sister, Valerie Owusu and her husband, Emmanuel Addae, both living in the United States, have been sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder of their son.
The duo were convicted in March of second-degree depraved indifference murder for the death of King Owusu and were sentenced on May 1, 2024.
“I only hope that the photographs that we all saw at this trial will haunt the both of you the way they will haunt me for the rest of my life,” acting State Supreme Court Justice Steven Pilewski told Owusu and Addae after handing down the maximum sentences.
The duo reportedly tortured their son and kept him home as his condition deteriorated until he finally succumbed to his injuries.
In her defense, Valerie’s attorney claimed her husband, Addae, beat the boy and that she was not aware of the extent of her son’s injuries until she saw the evidence presented at trial.
“Let no one ever say I did not love my son, because I did. I do,” an emotional Valarie said.
