Renowned playwright and relationship expert Uncle Ebo Whyte has recently voiced his disagreement with the common belief that men dominate sexual encounters.
In his view, women actually hold the real power and control during intimate moments. Speaking on Showbiz 360 with Giovanni Caleb, Uncle Ebo Whyte challenged the notion that men are the “winners” in sexual encounters. He remarked, “When a man sleeps with a woman, he tells his friends, ‘Oh, I finish am. But if you know who finished who, you will stop. You will not talk.’” He further elaborated, “In any sexual encounter, the winner is not the man. It’s the woman. The man, all you did was you gave your energy, you gave your reputation, you gave opportunities. You gave all kinds of things.”
Uncle Ebo also warned men to maintain their self-respect and dignity, stressing that failing to do so could lead to significant negative consequences. He advised that understanding the need for self-respect is crucial to avoiding actions that could damage one’s reputation and integrity. He shared a piece of advice from an older friend, saying, “An older friend of mine told me this. When you go to the forest and you find a table laid, walk away because you don’t know why the table is there.”
Uncle Ebo Whyte and his Roverman Production is set to debut his new play, ‘I Want To Feed You’, at the National Theatre in Accra. The play will run from September 6 to 15, 2024.
