Who is Antonio Edwardes? Suspect Erroneously Identified As Highland Hills, Dallas Shooter

Antonio Edwardes is a man arrested for a crime in Dallas who was initially identified by social media users as the alleged perpetrator of a troubling shooting that occurred at the Pink Apartments in Highland Hills, Dallas TX.

Edwardes, 37, was arrested and booked in Dallas County, Texas, on October 15 for an unknown reason.

However, social media users alleged his arrest was due to a murder that took place in Highland Hills, following a dispute, with the entire incident captured on video that later went viral on X (formerly Twitter).

However, later information from the police pinned the murderer as 22-year-old Alonzo Green who shot and killed Quentin Brown in a dispute over a woman.

Antonio Edwards is a 37-year-old Dallas man arrested for an unknown crime that social media erroneously pinned as the murder of another man in a broad daylight shooting in Highland Hills, Texas but which he was later exonerated of.

Antonio Edwardes according to booking information was arrested and booked into the Dallas County jail on 10/15/2024. He has a prior arrest from 05-30 when he was booked for criminal trespassing among other charges which was a violation of his probation terms for a previous robbery incident.

Edwardes was arrested but certainly not for murder with the perpetrator identified as Alonzo Green.

A video of the gruesome shooting and murder in broad daylight that occurred in Dallas made its way to social media and sparked responses from troubled netizens.

In the video, two African-American males are seen arguing over what has now been identified as a woman they were both seeing withs the victim  heard saying “Give me her phone, man,”

The perp doesn’t listen and shoots the victim dead. The video went viral on X with the caption: “This just happened in Dallas, Texas (Southside, Highland Hills area, apartments known as “The Pinks”). I used to live in these apartments.”

Another person was shocked at the shooting over a phone, writing: “Wtf be wrong with people man damn sound like he said ‘give me my phone man,’ not you wanna go to jail for life over a phone! Dallas‘ different I heard,”

More details has now emerged about the shooting.

According to reports, it took place in the Estelle Village Apartments in the 5900 block of Highland Village Drive.

Police were called to the scene following the shooting and found 36-year-old Quentin Brown shot and in the parking lot. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

Officers started a search for the suspect who witnesses revealed left in a Silver Dodge Charger.

He was found about five miles away in the Red Bird neighborhood and arrested.

Detectives said a witness revealed she was in a relationship with both men and they’d been fighting over her. Authorities are keeping her identity secret at this time.

Alonzo Green has been charged with murder. Investigations remain ongoing.
