Brooks Bohland, a young star of the Sylvania Youth Hockey Club has passed away.
The club announced the tragic news in a statement that extolled the virtues of the deceased Bohland. No cause of death was announced.
“The Sylvania Youth Hockey Club and the broader local hockey community have come together in mourning following the heartbreaking news of the passing of young Brooks Bohland,” the statement began. “A vibrant presence both on and off the ice, Brooks was not only a talented athlete but also an inspiring teammate and a beloved friend to many. His unexpected departure has left a profound impact on everyone who knew him.”
The club continued to extend its condolences to the Bohland family and all Brooks’ friends, noting that her loss is unimaginable.
“No words can truly capture the sadness of this loss, but the memories of Brooks will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew him,” they said.
The Sylvania Youth Hockey club is an amateur hockey club in Sylvania, Ohio that offers opportunities for players of all levels while promoting lifelong love of the sport.
Meanwhile, a community vigil has been organized for Brooks Bohland and family at Highland Elementary school for Wednesday, October 23.
A friend sent a beautiful tribute to Brooks, touting him as a ‘wonderful friend, teammate, classmate, lunch buddy, recess partner and wild and wonderful boy.’
