Josh Bell, a Middleboro Massachusetts father has been killed in a deadly shooting in Fitchburg on Sunday, October 20th.
Bell was shot dead by 32-year-old Jarrod Hegarty of Townsend after a seeming disagreement. Another man was critically wounded in the shooting but is currently in stable condition.
News of the death of Bell, who is a father, elicited tributes from distraught friends and family.

Meanwhile, his father announced his wake for Friday, October 25, at Chapman Funeral Home in Bridgewater from 4 to 7 p.m.
The shooter that claimed Bell’s life, Jarrod Hegarty, was arraigned at Fitchburg District Court on charges including armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a firearm, and firearm possession without an FID card. He pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail.
According to prosecutors, he was eating with the victims at a restaurant right before the shooting broke out. He then fled and was captured after a six hour standoff with police.
