Roselyn Akosua Mantey has officially unveiled her Guinness World Record certificate after setting a remarkable record for the longest marathon applying makeup. The achievement was made during a five-day “makeup-a-thon” held in Legon, Accra, from April 3 to April 7, 2024.
After submitting the necessary evidence, Guinness World Records verified and approved her accomplishment, confirming that Akosua Mantey successfully set a new record of 103 hours, 25 minutes, and 33 seconds, far surpassing the previous record of just 24 hours.
During a media event on October 23, 2024, Akosua, who is also a former winner of TV3’s Mentor, proudly presented her certificate. She took the opportunity to share the challenges she faced in making this incredible feat possible, revealing that even securing sponsorship for the event proved difficult.
She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her team, sponsors, and everyone who supported her throughout the process, acknowledging their role in bringing her dream to reality.
