Actress Busy Philipps is remembering her late friend, Kate Stanko, on the occasion of her second birthday since her passing.
Philipps and Stanko, (also known as Kate Cooper Serge), were besties for north of thirty years, all the way back to High School, until Kate’s tragic death in August 2023.
Kate died at the age of 44 after a five-month long battle with illness. On Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, she would have turned 46 if she was still alive.
To mark the milestone, the Dawson’s Creek star shared a collection of photos of herself, Kate Stanko and their other bestie, Emily Bronkesh-Buchbinder, all the way back to high school and throughout the rest of their lives as they built memories together.
“Happy birthday Kate girl. Especially this week, i really wish you were here to hug me (12 a day to thrive!) and tell me that you love me but to get my sh*t together and then we could go eat a veggie burger from Houston’s(Hillstone in nyc🤷♀️),” she wrote. “I guess the good news is, i was lucky enough to have almost 30 years of you in this world so i can always hear your voice in my head telling me you love me but to get my sh*t together and to go get a veggie burger by myself if i want one❤️😂 ❤️Live Laugh Love, girl. It’s all there is.❤️”
