Mitch Wilson, the founder of the sports betting handicap site PickDawgz has died, the company announced Friday, November 29th, 2024.
A video announcement shared on all PickDawgz platforms announced the tragic news, Mitch Wilson had passed. No cause of death was announced.
“On Thursday morning we learned that our founder and dear friend Mitch had tragically passed away.” the message from Ron PickDawgz said. “We know this is a shock to hear for all of you as it is for us and we ask at this time you keep Mitch’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers,”
Ron added that Mitch was the most hardworking and generous person he’d had the pleasure of working with.
“Mitch loved the community that he built so very much and each and everyone of you mean the world to him,” Ron continued to the fans. “We know that Mitch will want us to carry his legacy and continue to be the greatest sports betting community around…we will fight and carry on for him and continue to be there for all of you,”
Mitch Wilson worked with and started several of sports handicapping sites across the Internet before founding his own signature site, Pick Dawgz in 2019. He also owned Sports Chat Place before his death.
A trendsetter and innovator in the sports betting community, Mitch was a graduate of Boston University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies. “When it comes to picking winners and handicapping, there is no one better than Mitch over the long haul,” his bio on the Pick Dawgz website read.
Mitch Wilson was previously a Founding Partner in P&P Vegas, financing and developing the strategic business model for their website Picks and Parlays. He was also a Manager at William Harris Investors.

He founded Dawn Patrol LLC, under which he owned his companies PickDawgz, Sports Chat Place and was a partner in SMX2 Communications.
News of Wilson’s death sparked reactions from fans.
“I am crying dude, i feel like i just lost an uncle. Absolutely speechless…” one fan wrote.
Another said: “Damn, watch this guy almost every day. RIP Mitch, betting won’t be the same without you!”
