Social media has been buzzing with reactions following suggestions by some Ghanaians that Rev. Owusu Bempah might attempt to take credit if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wins the 2024 general elections.
Many netizens have advised him to not take credit if NDC wins the elections because his powers didn’t contribute to the win.
Rev. Owusu Bempah, sparked online outrage when he publicly prayed for the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, during a meeting with clergy members earlier this year.
In his prayer, he declared that Mahama’s compassionate heart would earn him divine favour to reclaim the presidency. This move was met with mixed reactions, as Owusu Bempah is often viewed as having closer ties to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Some individuals argue that Mahama’s strong political strategy and nationwide support are the key factors in the NDC’s success, not supernatural intervention from Rev Owusu Bempah. Others cautioned Owusu Bempah against making unfounded claims, calling for more accountability from political and religious leaders instead.
