A massive crowd of enthusiastic NDC youth gathered at the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) headquarters on Monday, January 27, to welcome Malik Basintale on his first day as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer. The air was filled with excitement as supporters, waving party paraphernalia, eagerly awaited his arrival. The gathering was a true display of the NDC youth’s unwavering support for Basintale, who had called on them through social media to join him in assuming office.
In his post, Basintale, a former NDC Deputy National Communications Officer, urged his supporters to turn up, saying, “I am a product of the street, and we’re not leaving anyone behind! Hence, dear 5k men, 3k women, far rangers, bodycams team, Cock and hold unknown rangers, fire flames, Okada ningers, etc., feel free to join me assume work at the YEA HQ tomorrow Monday at 10am. Let’s build the Ghana we want together!”
The turnout was overwhelming, with large numbers of youth arriving in droves, cheering and chanting in excitement. Inside the YEA headquarters, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation as staff prepared for Basintale’s debut. Security arrangements were in place to maintain order as the new CEO made his grand entrance.
Basintale’s appointment as CEO of YEA, confirmed by President John Dramani Mahama, has sparked enthusiasm among members of the NDC youth wing. They see him as a leader who truly understands their needs and who will focus on job creation and empowering the youth of Ghana.
