Ex Kumasi Asante Kotoko board member, Kennedy Agyapong,  popularly known as Kenpong has expressed sincere thanks to all who supported him during the burial of his mother (Janet Yaa Biamah) over the weekend at Kwahu Mpraeso.
He said, “Thanks to all who traveled from far and near, and supported me in diverse ways during my mum’s  funeral.  I am most grateful.”
He continued, “Ghanaians showed me true love and words can’t express how thankful my family and l are.
Otumfuo decorating my mother with  royal symbolic ornaments is much appreciated. l am told it’s the first time Asantehene has done something of this kind for someone who has served the club.”

New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, is the latest statesman to sympathise with Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong), former Asante Kotoko Board member, after losing his mother.
In his address at his Nima residence when the businessman called on him yesterday, Nana Akufo-Addo promised Kenpong to do all he can to be present at his mother’s funeral. He said, “Sorry, have my sympathy, I will do all I can to be present, if am not able to make it, you will definitely hear from me because you have been a very loyal friend.”

Former Presidents of the Republic of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings  and John Agyekum Kufuor, have consoled former Board Member of Kumasi-based Football Club, Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) for losing his mom, Madam Janet Yaa Biamah.
The businessman, in the company of boxing legend, Azumah Nelson, ace actor Super OD and a high powered delegation called on the statesmen to officially announce his mother’s death.
Sympathizing with Kenpong, former President Kufuor said, ” the presence of your entourage attests to how well you have lived, the trail you have blazed. It is always said that the true colors of a man manifest when he loses his mom, but in your case, you demonstrated true qualities of a man even when your mom was alive. I will make time to mourn with you on the day.”
