It is obvious that every celebrity has some bunch of haters who will never be pleased with any single thing the former does in life. Such haters will cast insults and undermine the works and potentials of the celebrity in question.
However, the number of haters that follow each celebrity varies. Some celebrities have thousands of haters whiles others have a highly infinitesimal amount of such haters. After a year of running GhanaCelebrities.Com, I have come to realise that Jackie Appiah is one of the “less hating” celebrities in Ghana. People will go every mile to defend anything said or written about her.
On the other hand, when the names of certain celebrities like Mzbel, Juliet Ibrahim, Confidence Haugen and Yvonne Nelson pop up in any write-up (no matter how positive the write up is), all sort of insults will be thrown to these celebrities.
After playing a role as a DJ in Mensa and Wanlov’s ‘Coz Ov Moni’, the celebrated Godfather of the music genre ‘hip life’, Reggie Rockstone has featured in a new movie, where he played Nathan, a Rastafarian.
Reggie Rockstone was at the receiving end of a wrong number dialed by Amanda (Georgina Ahiable), a middle aged broken hearted attorney who was actually calling her uncle, Tawiah. Amanda, still discovering who really she is, falls in love with Reggie on the telephone. When she eventually meets Reggie Rockstone, she was disappointed because the man she has fallen for is a Rastafarian.
The combined production houses Cupado Films and Marhills Production which brought the captivating movie ‘Shakira’ to movie enthusiast is hitting the markets with another outstanding and a mind boggling movie called ‘Trinity’.
The storyline finds traces on the African continent, where greed for power is the order of the day. Kofi Adjorlolo played the role of MacCoy Yeboah, a greedy, heartless who finds solace in eliminating anyone who becomes a hard nut for him to crack.

The opening ceremony of the first World Cup on the African soil was telecast live to the whole world. As the performances went on, the microphone was handed to artistes upon artiste to perform.
Ghanaians who were glued to their television sets to catch a glimpse of the historic event wondered why no Ghanaian was called upon to perform, especially when noise has been made in the Ghanaian media about some musicians (Becca, Kojo Antwi and Shasha Marley) being selected to perform on the opening ceremony.
Congratulations from GhanaCelebrities.com to the Blacks Stars for their tremendous performance against the Serbians. The only goal in the match was scored by Asamoah Djan after Ghana was awarded a penalty.
However, I will plead with the ladies to give the boys (well, i mean the men) some fresh air, especially the two sexy guys, Kevin Boateng and Dede. Oh yeah, i heard that Kevin is the new Agogo (and the girls can prove this) right?
Ghana will play against Australia on 19th of June, what is your prediction?

Just last week, we threw light on Idris Elba, noting his mixed Ghanaian and Sierra Leonean parentage. No doubt the east London born is doing great in Hollywood with his career as an actor. His success and acting skills could be seen in America Gangsta where he acted alongside Denzel Washington, Obsessed- alongside Beyonce Knowles and others.
It is good to keep to one’s childhood dreams but then when age sets in, such dreams should be let to go with time if they do not befit that individual any more. Idris Elba is known for his love for music, but man is going fast to 40 years. Check out what he just did few months ago. I couldn’t help but to open my mouth when I came across it on youtube.
What exactly does it mean for a woman to make you feel so “Simple”? Bradez explained it on this song and it seemed to resonate with many Ghanaians since this track from their “Breakthru” album won the Most Popular Song of the Year award at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards. The song was definitely “a hit meeeeeeeeeeen” and was produced by Richie from LYNX Entertainment studios. See exactly what we are referring to in the video below:
Kwabena Kwabena, the romantic songster, collaborates with them on the next track on the album “Dondoo”. This track has a steady, danceable highlife beat and you could certainly picture a newly married couple dancing to it at their wedding.
The concert put together in partnership with FIFA and PinkraMedia has been postponed to Sunday after the Black Stars of Ghana versus Serbians match. The reason for the postponement is simple, the various Ghanaian artistes billed to perform on the night such as Mimi, Samini, KK Fosu, Kwaw Kese and Obrafour boycotted the event.
The reason for the boycott is that their balances due them has not paid. The contract they signed stated that balances would be paid before the show and this has not been met.
Heroes Production, the sole name behind the movie “Sin Of The Soul” is hitting the markets with their new movie called “The GAME” featuring Yvonne Okoro, Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel, John Dumelo, Fred Nuamah , Nadia Archer Kang and others.

While ‘Sex in The City 2’ continues to enjoy patronage in cinemas across the globe, Ghana’s ultimate chick flick, ‘The Perfect Picture’ is also rumoured to have sequel in the works. According to an insider source, Shirley Frimpong-Manso and her Sparrow Production team will commence work on the sequel sometime in July.
Although the sequel might not be titled, ‘The Perfect Picture 2’, all three of the girls will return to continue the award winning story in a direction that is being secretly guarded by Sparrow Production. Whatever the direction might be, certainly it would be interesting to see how it plays out on screen. It would also be interesting to see if the first-time mother, Shirley would incorporate motherhood in the sequel for any of the girls.
Who doesn’t like the man insane or admires his sense of humour? Apart from the fact that Kwaw Kesse talks straight crap in his music, he gets people laughing with most of his controversies. The last major controversy from Kwaw was his supposed chit chat meeting with President Bush when he visited Ghana. We all know what that turned out to be right?
Now, the only man insane, abodam is on his way to South African to support the Blackstars and “do some business” as well. I love to see people use such opportunities to bring home investments and business partners. After all, most of us folks in Ghana are in need of jobs and daily bread.
Anyway, until Kwaw Kesse brings home some business patners in music or whatsoever, I will take his message as another mere talk from the man insane. Lets wait to find out the sort of collabos he finds in South Africa as he goes to market himself on the streets of Pretoria. Massa Kwaw, becareful out there though, I heard SA is not all that safe and good luck with your business kum entertainment trip. Read More Below…
The just ended TV3’s talented kids show (season 1) saw the faces of many children passing through with diverse warm heartening talents. One of such kids with a great impression and mark on my mind as well as many Ghanaians is Awal Mohammed who hails from Nima.
His performances throughout the show were on point. His ability to adopt the rap style of the Ghanaian fastest rapper, Sarkordie was amazing and depicts real talent. GhanaCelebrities.Com hopes he finds a place in the music world with his rap talent. Check out the video below….
Fast growing British/Ghanaian rapper, Tinchy Stryder has reason to celebrate after signing a megadeal with JAY-Z. The wee British rapper is now a business partner with US music mogul Jay and his label Roc Nation, in a new enterprise called Takeover Roc Nation.

Miriam Abdul Rauf a.k.a Nasara is the quintessential definition of a true Ghanaian beauty, arguably the most beautiful woman in Ghana now. Aside her charming looks, the gorgeous beauty queen is also a ‘shark’ reading Business Administration in one of Ghana’s prestigious tertiary institution.
Like many beauty queens, her life took a dramatic turn when she was declared Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2009 at the National Theater in Accra. “I experienced racism on two occasions, the white girls were given more attention and treated better than us the blacks and I was so angry at a point, I had to say on stage that I was black and very proud of it, she lamented. To her, beauty is not about the skin colour of an individual but the intelligence, eloquence and what is within the person and what they can give to society.
In Ghana, certain topics are no go areas when it comes to discussions. One of such topics is sex and homosexuality. Believe it or not, the act of homosexualism (both lesbianism and gayism) is gainning roots and getting bigger in various Ghanaian societies. Those who enjoy and claim to be homosexuals in Ghana are advocating for inter alia, equal right, respect and societal acceptance in relation to their sexual orientation.
Though Ghana is not Sodom and Gomorrah, what is your take on this? What does your conscience and morals dictate when it comes to the issues of homosexuals in Ghana? Do you think they should be allowed to freely practice their sexual orientation in our contemporary Ghana? Do they have any rights or should society embrace them all and accept them as part of us? Share your mind!
As part of the programmes to usher in the very first World Cup on the land of Africa,Mimi is billed to perform in Pretoria, South Africa. John Dumelo has described the so-called invasion of Ghanaians actors in Nollywood as a ‘give and take’ affair. According to Dumelo, he doesn’t see the reason why Nigerians are crying about Ghanaians acting in Nollywood since most of the top Nigerian Actors ‘troop’ to Ghana as well. He simply described the situation as ‘they come here and we go there’.
In an interview with peacefmonline.com, he also reacted to the rape allegation leveled against him by nigeriafilms.com. Check out the article below…
At the surprise celebrity-filled finale of the maiden edition of ‘Talented Kids’ reality TV series, actress Jackie Appiah offered a year’s with of scholarship to two of the contestants on the show. According to the actress, she had been watching the talent search on TV3 and had observed that those two kids were huge fans of her work. She will make an official presentation of the educational package to the selected kids later in the year. Jackie also presented gift hampers to all the finalists on the show.
To be frank, it has been so annoying over the last few months with so many Nigerian Actors, Actresses and Producers complaining about the influx of Ghanaian movie stars into Nollywood. They have been advising and admonishing themselves to stop using Ghanaian stars in Nollywood as they see these Ghanaian stars are parasites and fully dependant on Nollywood.
Do not get me wrong, I am a champion of, inter alia, globalization, free trade and putting forces together between Ghana and Nigeria to build a strong movie industries. But it is disgusting and makes you feel “shit” as a jingoistic Ghanaian when you read or heard about such unfounded comments from Nigerian Stars. I vividly remember one saying, “These Ghanaians are taken over our industry and to worsen it all, they have started even featuring in the Yoruba movies which we tend to keep to our self”.
Now here is what we got for them as things are getting better in our home too. You started it and we will help finish it for you. The last year saw a great success in the Ghanaian movie industry, Nigerians might have produced in quantity than Ghanaians , but in terms of quality, we were able to battled them head to head. Do I have to prove it by refering you to the African Movie Academy Awards nominations and winnings?.
On their constant out cry to stop the incursion of Ghanaian stars into their industry, One of the best and first movie production houses to bring Nigerians to Ghana, Venus Movies have stated categorically that, they have stopped and would not be using Nigerian movie stars anymore. Whether it is a good move or a bad one, I am down with them as the adage goes, Tit for Tat is never a sin. Read and listen to the audio below…
Ladies, imagine the man you love, whom you are legally married to and with a child to show for it, tells you that the day you agreed to marry him was the day you went wrong. To make it worst, you caught this same husband cheating on you, not only cheating but cheating with a person of the same sex? G-A-Y as in gay? Yes man to man. Well wait a minute, they call those men bisexual.
Yvonne Okoro, the beautiful Ghanaian actress who people often mistake as Jackie Appiah’s twin sister played Ruby in the romantic, drama and comedy movie ‘4Play’. She played the wife of the bisexual man, who upon finding his husband in the hotel room cheating with his fellow man went into a state of shock.
As we entertain, educate and throw out the celebrity gossips , certain interesting social and strange issues which we find necessary to create awareness about will be chipped in here. The below story is unbelievable and indicates a wrong play somewhere…What do you think?
A DNA test ordered by the District and Juvenile Court in Accra to help establish the parentage of a six-month-old baby boy has thrown the issue into further controversy, following the outcome that neither the woman nor the man she accuses of neglect is biologically linked to the child.
