This Saturday June 26, at the Silver Bird stores in Accra from 2pm – 5pm, One Mic Entertainment will be unveiling Morris D’Voice to the world. If there is one word I can think of to sum up Morris as an artiste, it would be versatile. It is very rare that you find song writing, sound engineering, lyrical and vocal talent all at such a level in an artiste. Journey with me “Home & Away” as we take a look at what Morris has on offer in his debut album.
It is not often that I am on time when I make plans to meet my friends for the movies, café or a night out. This time I was very much on time for our movie plans, with about 30mins ahead of our schedule. I decided to go to the nearest café right across the street and wait for my friends. I found some magazines when I went to order a hot chocolate.
I noticed that Tiger Wood’s “hot stuff” is still hot. Poor man I said to myself, although my heart goes to the wife and kids the most. The café was almost empty as it was getting to the closing time. I sat at the corner to enjoy my hot chocolate when I heard two women having a conversation about a mutual friend.

As most Ghanaians and well wishers of Ghana are holding fingers cross and praying to win the next match, Muntari is reported to have done it again. Sometimes I do not understand Sulley Muntari at all, he is a good player with a lot of potentials but his temper and attitude curtails his progress as a footballer. Please Muntari, we do not need any of your “things” at this crucial time. Just calm down, team up with the other guys, concentrate and take us through to the next stage of the world cup.. In recent past, it has become the habit of Ghanaian movie stars (Ghallygold movie star) to show their displeasure at constructive criticisms labeled against them by the general public and the media for their various acts of misconducts either in the movies they appear in, or the wild life style they exhibit in their normal life activities.
The media took it up the crusade of criticizing actors and stakeholders in the movie industry when the issue of explicit images became a major topical issue, as a new paradigm shift of marketing movies in the country.
It is disheartening to read that our own celebs in their little career world are “beefing” themselves. I got to know about the tension and unpleasant relationship between Nadia and Jackie Appiah some months back but decided not to give it any audience.
However, Peacefm has brought it to light and I believe Ghanacelebrities’ readers and the fan base of both Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari needs to know about the sour relationship between these two top actresses.
The story below says it all and as such I do not need to gist up more on that. However, there is one part of the story that I am not feeling, I mean the part which states that both actresses have not starred in a movie since 2008. Geez! That is wrong; both were in the movie “Heart Of Men” right?. Heart Of Men was a 2009 production. Okay, read below for more on the relationship gone sour between Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari. Do you think this is happening out of competition, jealousy or…?
I am sometimes quick to throw”bashes” at certain celebrities when they fall below the standard expected of them and reluctant to knock on others like Pascaline Edwards. This is not about being partial as you might be thinking; it is about having the outmost respect for the personality you dealing with in terms of career history and how that celeb has lived her life.
Scandals rock every celebrity but others are very good in staying away from such things. For some, it is their daily bread and will invite such scandals ranging from sex scandals to fighting. Pascaline Edwards is a talented Ghanaian actress who has come a long way as a celeb with if not any, a little mess to her name.
At long last, Nana Ekua aka Mzbel will be getting married soon. After several false speculated weddings by some segment of the Ghanaian media, Mzbel says the wedding is almost here and this time it is real. Eii Mzbel so how did this swerve GhanaCelebritties.Com? Thought you were in close touch and would have hinted us first. All the same, let us all wish Mzbel the best .. Read More Below…

Star actress, Jackie Appiah has officially presented a year’s worth of scholarship to two finalists in the just ended maiden edition of TV3’s Talented Kids. The actress made a promise during the finale to give an educational sponsorship to the two talented kids, both huge fans of Jackie.
Jackie first stopped at the Ebenezer Methodist School at Madina where Talented Kids finalist Cassandra Susuasey is a pupil. She was met by an overwhelming crowd of students, who would not allow the star to move freely without shaking her hands. Jackie paid an amount of GhC 321 as tuition fees covering a period of one year; studies fee, as well as money to buy stationary.
The Silver Bird Lifestyle store inside the Accra Mall will again be the venue for yet another album launch, this time it’s the turn of Morris D’voice as he prepares to launch his album ‘Home & Away’ on Saturday 26th June, 2010.
The ‘Home & Away’ album contains eighteen songs including the first single ‘Valentine’ a track for the celebration of the love season on 14th February. Also on the album are ‘Shame On You’, ‘I Love You’, ‘Crave’, ‘Could This Be Love’.
Well, depending on how holier you are than me, you may rather ask which of these two make the worst apology song. But the fact that these two music stars released hit songs to make a bad situation look better for them, takes tact that only a few of their contemporaries have.
When Senegalese singer Akon came under public scrutiny for dancing lewdly with an under-aged Danah Alleyne, daughter of a local pastor, at the Zen nightclub in Port of Spain he decided to do a song to apologize for his actions. “Blame It On Me” became an international hit and was put on his re-released album, ‘Konvicted’. But had the R&B star truly regretted his actions? Check out these lyrics:
The 19th FIFA World Cup is current underway in South Africa. Its a first time a tournament of this magnitude is happening on an African land.
A lot of songs have been composed for this particular World Cup which will go down as one of the best World Cups. We know you have your favourites. Below are three of the World Cup songs. You can tell us what you think about the songs and name your favourite. FIFA is watching.
The FIFA world cup is getting heated up with countries like Spain, Algeria and co losing their first matches when most people thought they would have won them easily. All the same, our homeboy Samini has done it again.
I posted the worldcup song “Everywhere you go” few weeks ago featuring Kelly Rowland, Samini, 2face, Jozi, Awadi and others. Now, the official video is out. Check out Samini doing his thing on the international level with Kelly Rowland. GhanaCelebrities.Com says “Congrats” Samini!
Check Out Samini In The Video Below….
It is obvious that every celebrity has some bunch of haters who will never be pleased with any single thing the former does in life. Such haters will cast insults and undermine the works and potentials of the celebrity in question.
However, the number of haters that follow each celebrity varies. Some celebrities have thousands of haters whiles others have a highly infinitesimal amount of such haters. After a year of running GhanaCelebrities.Com, I have come to realise that Jackie Appiah is one of the “less hating” celebrities in Ghana. People will go every mile to defend anything said or written about her.
On the other hand, when the names of certain celebrities like Mzbel, Juliet Ibrahim, Confidence Haugen and Yvonne Nelson pop up in any write-up (no matter how positive the write up is), all sort of insults will be thrown to these celebrities.
After playing a role as a DJ in Mensa and Wanlov’s ‘Coz Ov Moni’, the celebrated Godfather of the music genre ‘hip life’, Reggie Rockstone has featured in a new movie, where he played Nathan, a Rastafarian.
Reggie Rockstone was at the receiving end of a wrong number dialed by Amanda (Georgina Ahiable), a middle aged broken hearted attorney who was actually calling her uncle, Tawiah. Amanda, still discovering who really she is, falls in love with Reggie on the telephone. When she eventually meets Reggie Rockstone, she was disappointed because the man she has fallen for is a Rastafarian.
The combined production houses Cupado Films and Marhills Production which brought the captivating movie ‘Shakira’ to movie enthusiast is hitting the markets with another outstanding and a mind boggling movie called ‘Trinity’.
The storyline finds traces on the African continent, where greed for power is the order of the day. Kofi Adjorlolo played the role of MacCoy Yeboah, a greedy, heartless who finds solace in eliminating anyone who becomes a hard nut for him to crack.
Ghanaian reggae artiste Rocky Dawuni has released a special remix of the hit ‘African Reggae Fever’ of his new album; ‘Hymns for the Rebel Soul’ dubbed ‘African Soccer Fever’ and it is to help boost morale at the on-going FIFA 2010 in South Africa. The song seeks to give soccer fans a special African flavor … Read more

The opening ceremony of the first World Cup on the African soil was telecast live to the whole world. As the performances went on, the microphone was handed to artistes upon artiste to perform.
Ghanaians who were glued to their television sets to catch a glimpse of the historic event wondered why no Ghanaian was called upon to perform, especially when noise has been made in the Ghanaian media about some musicians (Becca, Kojo Antwi and Shasha Marley) being selected to perform on the opening ceremony.
Congratulations from GhanaCelebrities.com to the Blacks Stars for their tremendous performance against the Serbians. The only goal in the match was scored by Asamoah Djan after Ghana was awarded a penalty.
However, I will plead with the ladies to give the boys (well, i mean the men) some fresh air, especially the two sexy guys, Kevin Boateng and Dede. Oh yeah, i heard that Kevin is the new Agogo (and the girls can prove this) right?
Ghana will play against Australia on 19th of June, what is your prediction?
Congratulations!!! Go Black Star, we are with you!!!
