Parliament Finally Approves All 13 Vetted Ministerial Appointees Despite Minority Protests

Amidst all the controversies and the protestations by the Minority in parliament against 5 Designated Ministers not to be approved, the house with NPP’s resounding majority has approved all vetted 13 nominees (That includes Yaw Osafo-Marfo and Boakye Agyarko)

News gathered is that the majority used its overwhelming numerical strength to pass the motion for the nominees to be approved because Nana Addo is on a schedule to travel to Addis Ababa for an AU summit and the concerns of the Minority is delaying the process which is subsequently distorting the President’s protocol schedules.

Appointment Of Boakye Agyarko And Osafo Marfo Frozen By Parliamentary Appointment Committee 

Senior Minister designate Yaw Osafo Marfo and the designated Minister for Energy Boakye Agyarko and three others were not part of a list recommended for approval for 13 ministerial nominees vetted so far.

According to Joy News, a copy of the first report of the appointment committee made available to them names the appointees recommended for approval, and it did not contain the veteran politician’s name.
