Last Saturday was definitely crazy at Reggie Rockstone’s Django Bar in Accra as Menaye Donkor, former beauty Queen, Model, Philanthropist and wife of Ghanaian footballer-Sulley Muntari took center stage to blow some cash—-in celebrating her birthday…
Menaye Donkor has for some time now been busy with her various charity projects and it is therefore refreshing to see her take some time out to party—HARD.
Deborah Vanessa, Reggie Rockstone and others were out there to help blow some cash…
***If you are looking for that VIP environment with the best of security, music and drinks to hold that special party or host friends, remember DJANGO Bar is the name***
I stated in June 2013 that several of our mixed race celebrities ‘BLEACH’ or use some sort of skin lightening cream so to maintain their fair complexion under the hot sun and tropical conditions—when it emerged at the time that 8 out of 10 Nigerians bleach.
I’ve met Juliet Ibrahim a few times and I don’t have any reason to think she is bleaching, considering her complexion I saw. Similarly, I don’t think Majid Michel is also using any skin lightening cream to spice up his complexion either…
For the many other mixed race individuals we have, I don’t know and can’t say…
Any mixed race individual that lives in the tropics (especially those born there) and have been able to maintain their colour to the extent that they look pure white in the face of all the sun burn surely must be looked at twice….
Few days ago, Juliet Ibrahim got upset with people’s accusation of skin bleaching and took to twitter to slam them, saying ;
All around the world, celebrities lie for several reasons—mostly to hide embarrassing situations or add some sort of undeserving value to their personality.
Throwing in lies here and there is part of the pop culture but it becomes a big deal when the media exposes the person selling the lies, fetching such a celebrity a huge humiliation.
Things have gone bad for some celebrities to the extent that, they had to openly admit their lies and render apology to their fans and all those with interest.
Over the years, some of our Ghanaian Celebrities have found themselves in untangling web of lies, with no room to escape or defend their actions.
Let’s look at some of the obvious lies as well as the hidden ones which were exposed…
Nadia Buari’s Oscar De la Renta dress
In March 2011, Ghanaian actress-Nadia Buari appeared at the 2011 Pan-African Film Festival which was held in Los Angeles, California and wore a stunning gown which she claimed to be an Oscar de la Renta. But it turned out to be a “big fat lie”.
Things got nasty and embarrassing to the extent that Nadia Buari’s US based PR firm dropped her, for lying to them based on which they issued a press release that Nadia had worn the expensive Oscar de la Renta dress to the film festival—when in fact that was not the case.
Yvonne Nelson 2250 Euros Dress for a Movie Premiere
Just like Nadia Buari who was looking to score some high status for claiming she was wearing a top designer dress when she was not, Yvonne Nelson attended a movie premiere (Princess Bride) in 2010 in Accra and she told journalists that what she was wearing cost £2250…
Theresa Onnen Boateng just took to her facebook page few minutes ago blast Pokello, saying; she acts like a Ghetto chick and she is not a lady…Luckily, she did not add that she is a failed p*rn star but that may come soon, considering the way things are developing.
Earlier this week, a publication from Graphic Showbiz went viral —with the publication saying; Elikem and Pokello’s so called relationship has come to an end.
The publication which was also picked up by us-GhanaCelebrities.Com stated that; Elikem Kumordzi is currently involved in a steamy affair with a Ghanaian lady called Theresa Onnen Boateng who lives in Germany and is also a fashion designer (Chief Executive Officer of Unique World Fashion). Theresa came to Ghana recently to showcase her designs at a catwalk held at Royal Richester hotel where she shared the stage at a point with Elikem Kumordzi. What happened before or after is history!
Theresa was reported to have told Graphic Showbiz that; “I am two weeks pregnant for Elikem. We fell in love the very first day I met him at the launch of my clothing line of which he was part of the models. We exchanged numbers and we started a relationship from there. It is barely a month since we got to know each other but anyone who has seen us together would think we have been dating for more than two years, simply because we click”.
“I don’t know why anyone should have problems with me. For some days now, family members of Elikem and friends of Pokello have been disturbing me with phone calls to stay away from Elikem but all I tell them is we are in love and no one can stop us”.
As expected of the lying triangle-Elikem, Pokello and Theresa Boateng, the 3 people involved in the scandal came out to deny the above—with Theresa even saying she did not say any of the above to the newspaper.
The many facebook status updates that were found on Theresa’s wall (see some below) were pulled down as she created the impression that someone near her with access to her facebook account published those false updates.
Now this is where it gets interesting and the truth comes to light…
GhanaCelebrities.Com has obtained an exclusive audio conversation between this same Theresa Boateng and a certain journalist believe to be from Graphic Showbiz, the person who made the first publication and in the audio, Theresa confirms all the above. And even goes further to say Elikem is a SCAM.
Should I even waste my time addressing this disgrace of a woman who is nothing but a failed p*rn star in my books? So a woman who records a disgusting ‘seks’ tape that can be found all over the internet makes it to a reality TV Show and she has the stolen audacity to look … Read more

It surely has been a long journey for the talented Kumi Guitar and his perseverance makes us love him more…
The 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards nominees have been announced and the controversial song-Tonga was not disqualified, as some expected. Interestingly, Kwabena Kwabena’s Adult Music also sailed through, securing nominations under the categories-Highlife Song of the Year, Best Collaboration of the Year and others...
Sarkodie, Eazzy, R2Bees, Guru, M.anifest, EL and Joey B (the man who brought us Tonga) have all been nominated for this year’s Hiplife/ Hip Hop Artiste of the Year.
Castro, Kwabena Kwabena, Sonnie Badu, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Samini and Guru will compete for the all important and top award-Artsite of the Year.
I will start this article by quoting myself ‘It is difficult to be a real critic but more difficult to be really criticized…’
Interestingly, Entertainment in Ghana has gained remarkable grounds with many radio stations holding several discourses each week aimed at strengthening the fast developing industry.
Though prominence is mostly given to Music and Movies, occasionally, several sectors of the Art industry is considered—-and those who sit on the ‘talking benches’ seem not to be accountable to anyone.
Today, I’ve decided to hold some of them accountable, the same way they hold others accountable with their sharp and sometimes, rough teeth.
I will look at the popular Entertainment Radio Shows in a sequence, starting with Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review hosted by Kwasi Aboagye…
Now the Host-Kwasi Aboagye
With many years of radio experience, you cannot really find fault with the presenting structures he throws unto the table each week. When he has a to host interview segments, he pushes the boundaries to ask the hard question, which has in the past abruptly ended some of his interviews—-simply because, it gets tough for the persons at the other side.
On Entertainment Review, Kwasi Aboagye’s primary responsibility centres around being able to hold his panel within reasonable moderation, thereby ensuring they do not stray off the pathway and probably not throw punches at each other—when dissenting.
With a robust approach and strange sense of firmness, Kwasi is able to bring on path when there is an attempted escape. Occasionally, he is forced by his own underlying principles to join the discussions in length, especially when he feels his panel members are losing focus on the substantive issue.
I am excited to announce that, men are gradually becoming ‘smarter’ and the dating game is getting interesting—at least several of the men I know are giving little or no attention to the long expensive weave, humungous chest, fake nails and eyelashes of some of today’s women…
Since men are becoming smarter, the old trick of catching the attention of men with those long eye-lashes and push-up bras has become pretty ineffective, making several women worried as the attention keeps passing them.
For some reason, a new set of men have emerged and they’ve been able to pull several others to join this unidentified campaign to redefine what tickles and should tickle men. Without being contemptuous, these men are gradually gravitating away from the old set standards of beauty and attractiveness.
Instead of walking into a room and looking for that pretty face with the perfect nose and well shaped eyebrows, the new set of men rather like to have discussions about a wide range of unrelated subjects, paying attention to the woman who holds an outstanding level of intellect.
Who thought a time will come when men will begin to look beyond those long heels, tiny waist and round backside to give relevance to intellect?
Where is Kontihene? We would love for him to sing the chorus of his hit song ‘Aketesea’ which goes like this for us; ‘Suban, ɛtɛ sɛ nyinsɛn, wontumi mfa nsie Wotwe wo mu tan a, ɛbɛpue’…
If what our flying birds have told us is true, then the question is; how is it even possible for this to happen twice in one person’s short life? déjà vu or an entrenched character?
Rumours hitting GhanaCelebrities.Com’s OPENED GOSSIP desk has it that, a popular Ghanaian musician’s marriage is in a HUGE trouble and we will not be shocked if the woman in the marriage walks out, considering the fact that another woman has ‘irremovably’ been planted into the marriage…
From what we’ve been told, this musician who recently held a gig in Ghana has allegedly impregnated another woman and the current wife is extensively FURIOUS—in fact, she is just hanging in there.
With all sort of highly respected people pleading for the wife to take heart and not create unnecessary scene for the second time for this musician, the wife has been hushed about things but for how long can she endure the pain?
Based on which Director’s movie is trending, the person mostly wins the known movie awards and if you are a sceptic like me, you will definitely not even believe the genuineness of many of these awards that get handed out…
Last year’s Ghana Movie Awards also failed to give us any strong indication as to who is leading the game—awarding two of the Directors below with their Best Director award.
Let’s forget the technical language if we do not understand them and invoke our individual honesty by voting for who we think is the Best Ghanaian Movie Director—-based on the many Ghanaian movies we’ve seen.
*By Ghanaian Movie Director, the person must have been working in the Ghanaian Movie industry, no necessary a Ghanaian by citizenship*
Vote Below Now and let’s settle the debate once and for all…
Throughout its relatively young life, the Ghana Movie Industry has produced a massive number and variety of films that have ranged from glaring examples of artistic incompetence to hallmarks of cinematic excellence.
Although many of these films have proven memorable for both good and bad reasons, only a few have come to be regarded as true “classics.” One such film which may live the classic dream is “Any More Women?”, directed by Oheneba Acheampong and written by Kofi Safo Ntim.
The movie features the likes of Fiifi Coleman, Ebi Bright, Prince David Osei, Ken Fiafi, Fred Amugi, Pascaline Edwards, and many more.
The film begins by introducing the audience to a scene of great laughter. With lots of comedy and romance put together, why wouldn’t the audience still get attached to their seats even after the film ended?
A young Ghanaian-Michael Amankwa has succeeded in advancing his excellent abstract ideas into a practical solution enterprise, geared towards enhancing the lives of many people in Africa.
After obtaining from James Madison University a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and completing his Master of Science degree in information technology and telecommunication systems from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, Michael Amankwa decided to make a real life impact with the extensive knowledge acquired…
Where to start from would surely have been difficult for him but in consonance with his long held belief that “Africa has a lot to offer to the rest of the world’, Amankwa founded CoreNett Limited in Ghana, a transactions processing management company that provides cutting edge solutions to retailers, governments and other institutions for processing electronic transactions.
With the many self-driven and taught concepts in mind, Amankwa has succeeded in transforming CoreNett Limited into a multinational company, providing daily technologically advanced financial services to boost and speed business transactions in Africa.
Apart from the fact that Michael Amankwa smartly noted a gap in the market and quickly jumped in, he also realized that the existing gap needed to be bridged—as it was curtailing the progress of several African businesses…

According to a recent publication by Flex Newspaper, Ghanaian music and movie producer-Alhaji Banda aka Bandex on Adom Fm`s Entertainment Hall hosted by Kojo Preko Dankwah on 25th January, 2014 mentioned that Ghanaian musician-Sony Achiba is currently in London washing bowls/plates for a living…
The Newspaper quotes Bandex as saying; “Could you imagine that an artiste like Sony Achiba now works in a pantry in London, where he washes utensils? This is how our music industry has deteriorated to. Our musicians are suffering a lot and so we need to help them’’ .
GhanaCelebrities.Com reached out to Sony Achiba to establish if there was any truth in the above comment made by Bandex, as reported.
Irritated and shocked, Sony Achiba who could not believe why Bandex will pour out such a lie about him said; “there is no truth in that. In fact, I am surprised that Bandax who does not know me from anywhere will conjure such a lie about me and throw it out on a widely listened to platform like Adom Fm”.
Sony Achiba continued “I am out here in London for personal reasons and to be frank, I’ve made several musical appearances out here in London, performing at various concerts out here. Therefore, I’m not struggling when it comes to music, neither am I doing any sort of menial job out here in London”.
It is undeniable that many of our African (Ghana/Nigeria) actors and actresses suck at what they do—and yet none of them seem to have the courage to take up the challenge to improve themselves.
Instead of gearing their energy and resource toward self-betterment, many of our so called top actors and actresses (who cannot act to save their lives) rather invest all their time on staying on instagram, twitter—-and their money in long weaves, unnecessary trips abroad and the purchasing of fake designer wears.
Over the years, some of us through our writings and dealings with these people have not stopped stressing on the importance and the good that will come to their professional lives if they take some acting classes to improve themselves, but we are yet to see any of them do so.
Though much of the blame lies with these poor actors and actresses who are not looking for ways to improve their craft so to move the next stage with what they claim to love, I think we should apportion some of the blame to those who are misguiding them to feel they are excellent at what they do.
Why will someone seek to improve himself when the person is constantly told he is the best?
Each year, several African movie awards are organized in and out of Africa to give out plaques of excellence to some of these actors and actresses who need to be told the hard truth—-you are not good, so go and seek some help.
In her splendour, backed by her priceless smile, Star Actress-Jackie Appiah has released some hot promo photos, ‘snugging’ her golden Ghana Movie Awards plaque…
Jackie Appiah has succeeded in moving her raw talent to a professional level, standing tall among her colleagues as just not a talented actress but also, a well branded personality in Africa Showbiz.
Information reaching GhanaCelebrities.Com has it that, Ghanaian broadcast journalist-Komla Dumor of Focus on Africa, the BBC’s first-ever dedicated daily TV news programme in English for African audiences, broadcast on BBC World News is DEAD.
According to reports, Komla Dumor died at his London home from a heart attack (cardiac arrest)…
Komla who holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Ghana, and an MPA from Harvard University was also one of the lead presenters for BBC World News’ European morning segment.
Komla joined the BBC in 2007 after a decade of broadcast journalism in his native Ghana where he won the Ghana Journalist of the Year award.
During the Christmas holidays, there wasn’t ever a day where I would see status updates of my social media friends making a fuss about how they went to a party and there were girls with a British accent or how they liked hearing the American accent being spoken by returnees they met at a certain event.
Maybe they were just trying to be funny but I believe that the Ghanaian society has an unhealthy obsession with accents. Be it British, American, French or even Russian, once you sound different from the typical educated Ghanaian, you are given a holy pass on many things.
Oh it doesn’t matter that you cannot act to save your life, with a British accent you are treated like you just won an Oscar. Or that you have poor presentation skills, you would be chosen ahead of your Ghanaian counterpart for that radio job simply because they love how you pronounce ‘water’.
It is no surprise that we find many people who have never been to the KIA speaking with different variations of the American accent in a bid to sound superior to their colleagues. There was one funny moment some time ago when one popular female radio presenter in Ghana, who is known for speaking with an American accent was interviewing an American R& B artist and the American artist could not understand a word of what she was spewing.
As predicted by GhanaCelebrities.Com, Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has beaten Majid Michel, Kofi Adu (Agya Koo) and James Gardiner to win the 2013 Ghana Movie Award’s ‘A Performance By An Actor In A Leading Role’.
In line with our prediction, Joselyn Dumas also pushed Lydia Forson, Roselyn Ngissah and others aside to take home the ‘Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role’ award.
Defiling our prediction, Jackie Appiah once again won the 2013 ‘A Performance By An Actress In A Leading Role’ award, sending Yvonne Okoro, Maame Serwaa, Sonia Ibrahim and Yvonne Nelson a message that; she is still the Queen of Ghana Movies.
Lil Win, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Ken Attoh and Leila Djansi took home deserving awards.
The Ghana Movie Awards 2013 was held last night-30th December, 2013 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
We will never know the exact amount Mariah Carey was paid by Access Bank to be present at their end of year Christmas party which also served as a send-off party for the bank’s outgoing Managing Director Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede in Lagos yesterday. But one thing we all know is that, to fly Mariah Carey to … Read more
A certain Ghanaian female musician who is said to be a bi-sexual is seriously CHOPPING DOWN the wife of a Ghanaian footballer, GhanaCelebrities.Com has learned.
Like most female Ghanaian musician, the said musician is struggling to knock that hit song which will bring in the much needed cash and attention. But when it comes to the use of her tongue, she must be hitting it really good—if not, what else would push a married woman to open her legs for her?
We are told the footballer husband confronted the wife recently over her affairs with the musician, but the wife denied the fact they are chopping each other down, stating that, they are just good friends.
From what we are told, this female musician claims to have had enough of men, and she is said to have enjoyed lesbian relationships in the past with a certain top Ghanaian club owner and a certain talented female musician.
Though this sounds a bit over the top, we are told the mother of one (the female musician) had secretly dated this same Ghanaian footballer whose wife she is now chopping down. The footballer in question played in the 2010 Ghana’s World Cup match against USA, which Ghana won by 2–1 in extra time.
