Stonebwoy was forced by Shatta Wale to act nonsense at the 20th edition of VGMA at the Accra International Conference Centre over the weekend.
About this unfortunate incident, Stonebwoy has officially released a press statement to apologised to Charterhouse, Ghanaians and to the main sponsors of the event, Vodafone Ghana.
Organizers of the 20th edition of VGMA, Charterhouse, has confirmed that, both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy spent their May 19th, 2019 in police custody.
A report by Charterhouse confirms the two artists were invited by the police for investigations into the fuss which happened at the 2019 VGMA, but got detained by the Accra Police Command.
Most used social media platform, Twitter, has suspended the account of one Shatta Wale fan who threatened to assassinate Stonebwoy and his manager, Blakk Cedi.
This follows the sour moment at 2019 VGMA after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of the ‘ “Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year” artist.
Looks as if Ghana Police has finally done what Ghanaians wanted by grabbing our two biggest problems, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy who took the law into their own hands and threaten the lives of Ghanaian citizens who went to the VGMA auditorium on Saturday 18th May 2019.
According to a post we sighted on Shatta Wale’s Facebook page, he and his rival enemy, Stonebwoy have been invited to the station of Ghana Police where they will be spending some hours behind bars.

Reacting to this, Stonebwoy took to his Twitter page to rubbish such claims and also used that as an opportunity to appreciate the effort of the Counter-terrorism Commander and his team for giving him the maximum protection after the self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale and his drug-addicted militants rushed on him.

Shatta Wale had earlier on bagged 2 awards in the categories, ‘Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year’ with ‘Gringo’ and ‘Highlife song of the Year’ with ‘My Level’.
