Yvonne Nelson, Lil’ Win, Samini, Obour, Nadia Buari, Daddy Lumba and K.K. Kabobo Listed to Die | Says Prophet Samuel Baffour

Yvonne Nelson1

As I always say, religion and the God theory are the two effective tools that can easily make a wiseman behave stupidly and believe in certain absurdities—-including such a death list.

When you live in a country where there are more churches than schools, you are promised to have more superstitions and gibberish thrown at you from all angles, to the detriment of rational reasoning and human development.

According to reports, a certain Prophet-Samuel Baffour of El Shaddai Prayer Centre who is probably looking for his 5 minutes of fame has stated on Accra based radio-Channel R- 92.7FM’s ‘205’; that certain Ghanaian celebrities will face death.

He did not even stop there; he went as far as listing the names of these celebrities, claiming God revealed the names to him.

And people wonder why I don’t buy into the God delusion? How can we ever establish if God really revealed anything to this man?

According to Prophet Samuel Baffour of El Shaddai, Yvonne Nelson, Lil’ Win, Samini, Obour, Nadia Buari, Daddy Lumba and  K.K. Kabobo will face death…

R2Bees-Paedae Says MUSIGA Gave Them A Car Which Is Of No Use…

Paedae

Few days ago, Obrafour mentioned to GhanaCelebrities.Com that there is no ‘music industry’ in Ghana and what we have is a pocket of musicians struggling to make  a living out of their hard work.

According to Obrafour, the lack of institutional structures in itself is an indication of a non-existing music industry and until the appropriate structures are created, Ghanaian musicians will continue to sweat for nothing.

Interestingly, R2Bees’s member-Paedae has taken to twitter today to highlight the plight of Ghanaian musicians—calling MUSIGA to sit up among others…

Check below for some of the things Paedae had to say;

” Ghana music industry does nothing for the industry/musicians. Ghana music is what it is solely because of the hard work of Gh musicians

Imagine Ghana Blackstars without GFA. Musicians are selling our country to the world through music just like football

Don’t talk to me bout musiga

Gh musicians only make money through shows and endorsements. Not cd sales nothing.Radio Tv Pubs Clubs etc play the music for their business

SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD: Phones of Passengers in Missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH 370 are RINGING?

Missing Flight

Even though search has intensified, nothing concrete has been found in relation to Malaysian Airlines Flight MH 370 that disappeared on Saturday while carrying 239 passengers. Today, it is being reported that, some relatives who have been calling the cell phones of their loved ones claim the phones are RINGING…

According to the Washington Post, family of some of the 239 people on board the vanished Boeing 777 said that they were getting ring tones and could see them active online through a Chinese social networking service called QQ.

One man said that the QQ account of his brother-in-law showed him as online, but frustratingly for those waiting desperately for any news, messages sent have gone unanswered and the calls have not been picked up.

This new eerie development comes as the Malaysian authorities said they had identified one of the men on two stolen European passports who were on the flight – and that he was not considered likely to be a terrorist…

Light Skin Rules Because All The Dark Skin People & Activists Are ‘Bleaching’ Their Photos…

Yvonne-Okoro
Yvonne Okoro

I am a light skin chick—as some of my male friends prefer to disrespectfully call me when I am not around. But the truth is, I am light skin and I am proud to be so.

I do not go about talking down or disrespecting anyone just because the person is dark skin—and I do not believe I am the most beautiful person in my group simply because I am fair in complexion.

Also, I do not see the need to reinforce and paint in the mind of people that light skin is beautiful and we must celebrate that.

However, each day in my life, I come across a person working tireless to tell people like me that, we are not superior to those with dark skin—and I don’t remember anyone saying we are.

Though the truth may hurt, I have come to realize a growing inherent complexity with dark skin people. No one is running a race yet they continue to run and in doing so, they try to make light skin people feel bad.

If you believe your colour is the best and beautiful, you do not need anyone to keep reminding you of this, so you can feel good about yourself without belittling the other person.

Probably, it is the increasing trend of bleaching among the dark skin which has ignited this campaign of ‘help save the dark skin’—leading to unnecessary attacks on innocent light skin chicks like me.

I do not have to say a word and the moment I enter a room, a dark skin person will whisper at the far end of the room; she thinks she is beautiful because of her colour… Really? When did I say anything? I just entered…

You do not build up high self-esteem by simply seeking to make someone feel worst, especially when the person does not care about you and has not signed up for any sort of competition with you and your colour.

It is not a mere coincidence that despite the numerous attempts to fly dark skin, even the campaigners continue to cherish and plant the notion of light skin supremacy in the minds of the same people they seek to protect—through the use of countless image colouring techniques and filters on social media.

Leave the EXCUSES Behind…

Excuses

From TopVincent.Com

In life, excuses remain the greatest escape route and many of us employ them in our daily lives to make peace with others, ourselves and our dreams. But do we really need these excuses in our lives?

Without doubt, excuses can make things easy since all you have to do is find a reason to put on the table—forgetting that, excuses are ingredients of failure.

Instead of recognizing that actions are the building blocks of success, we look around for the excuses which will set us free from acting.

Many of us spend hours, even days and a lot of energy searching for the perfect excuse without realizing that excuses merely keep us stuck in our unwanted positions.

SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD: North Korea Leader- Kim Jong Un Gets Every Vote in an Election

Kim Jong Un

This is really fun and it gives us an idea as to the fact that the people of North Korea do not really have a choice–even when it comes to elections.

How can there be 100% turn out at an election and Kim Joung Un winning all the votes?  To think of it, who will have the ‘balls’ not to come out and vote for him, even if he is the only one on the ballot paper?

line

According to Yahoo;

With no one else on the ballot, state media reported Monday that supreme leader Kim Jong Un was not only elected to the highest legislative body in North Korea, he won with the unanimous approval of his district, which had 100 percent turnout.

North Koreans went to the polls on Sunday to approve the new roster of deputies for the Supreme People’s Assembly, the country’s legislature. The vote, more a political ritual than an election by Western standards, is generally held once every five years.

Though results for the other seats in the assembly had not yet been announced, North Korea’s media quickly reported Kim had won in his district — located on the symbolic Mount Paekdu — without a single dissenting ballot.

In the previous elections, 687 deputies were chosen. This is first time the election had been held since Kim inherited power after the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, in 2011.

Poor C.K. Mann Is Dying Slowly | And He Needs Your Help

C K Mann
C K Mann

Information that reached GhanaCelebrities.Com on Saturday 8th March, 2014 had it that veteran Ghanaian Highlife musician, C. K. Mann, is seriously dying as a result of a terrible illness.

According to our source, Mr. Mann has been battling with illness for some months now. He got well but just ended last week Friday 7th March, 2014, he was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Unfortunately, the said musician, who has been singing for well over 40 years now, is so poor that he can’t even afford three square meals a day; not to talk of footing his hospital bills.

Our source went further to disclose that Mr. Mann keeps sending messages through people to some of his old pals – musicians to come to his aid. Whilst some went to him to support financially when he first got sick (before this very one), others didn’t even care about his invitation for help.

Since MUSIGA stands for the welfare of musicians, GhanaCelebrities.Com contacted the Administrator of the union, Mr. Ahuma Daddy Bosco, and he confirmed “well its true C. K. Mann is seriously sick. I got confirmation from our Welfare Officer.

He also confirmed Mr. C. K. Mann was admitted on Friday 7th March, 2014 at a hospital in the Western region called Gapoa. Since this is a fresh case, the Welfare Officer told  me that he would send a message to our Western regional representative to visit Mr. C. K. Mann and after receiving a report to that effect, we shall take the next action.”

Josh Laryea Schools Ghana Music Awards Board – ‘A Songwriter/Composer is a 100% Musician’ | So Akwaboah’s Nomination is Out of Order

Josh Laryea
Josh Laryea

One of the board members of Ghana Music Awards, Okraku Mantey, revealed that a song writer/composer is not a musician.

Musician Akwaboah is one of the three musicians in this year’s ‘New Artiste of the Year’ category, whose nomination has come under public censorship – calling for his nomination to be quashed because he is not a new artiste/musician.

Those who make the argument posit that Akwaboah once won ‘Best Songwriter of the Year’ in VGMA for the song “……she wrote for musician Becca; because of that, he does not qualify for the ‘New Artiste of the Year’ nomination in this year’s VGMA.

However, Okraku Mantey insists that Akwaboah qualifies because, at the time the latter won the award for ‘Best Songwriter of the Year,’ he was not a musician; instead, he was only a songwriter/composer.

To verify if there is any truth or sense in what he said, GhanaCelebrities.Com did a research.

Who is a musician (noun)? Our research gave us one of two meanings or definitions:

1 “Someone who plays a musical instrument (as a profession).”

2 “(music) artist who composes or conducts music as a profession.”

GhanaCelebrities.Com Also visited celebrated gospel musician and a certified Musicologist, Tseataa – formerly known as Pastor Josh Laryea and asked him: sir, if someone can write or compose song (s) and can play musical instruments but has not yet released a song/album, is the person not a musician or cant the fellow qualify to be called a musician.

SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD: Radar Shows Missing Malaysian Airline May Have Changed Route

Missing Flight

It was reported on March 8 that a passenger flight carrying 239 passengers, including five children, from Malaysia had gone missing. For more than 24 hours now, the flight has still not been found.

According to new report by the country’s air force chief, the pilot of Malaysian Airline flight MH370 may have diverted the aircraft’s course before losing contact with the air traffic controllers.

“What we have done is actually look into the recording on the radar that we have and we realized there is a possibility the aircraft did make a turn back,” Rodzali Daud, the Royal Malaysian Air Force chief, said.

Conversely, the flight’s pilot did not inform the air traffic controllers that he was making a u – turn.

Search and rescue teams have focused their search in an area around an oil slick on the ocean between Malaysia and Vietnam where officials believe the plane crashed. However, on the basis of the new report that claims the pilot might have changed direction bolsters fear now; as many believe this puzzling incident could have been an act of terrorism.

The airline has as at now warned families whose relatives may have been on board to prepare for the worst since they have still not found any possible trace to the missing plane.

Authorities have as well confirmed that, the Boeing – 777 (flight MH370) which left Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and was heading to Beijing (China) had at least two people on board who were travelling on stolen passports.
