5 Mistakes We Make When Dating A New Man

blank
Couple

When women first begin dating a new man they tend to make mistakes that will eventually cause the relationship to end. These mistakes can easily be avoided if women will take the time and make the effort to avoid them. Staying in a relationship with someone that you are not honest with, who you will cancel all of your plans for, who you expect to change at some future point in time, who you think is just saying one thing when he really means another, who has bad behavior that you keep excusing – is not a good idea.

Internet Love: To Google or not to Google (Part 2) – The Dates

The Dates

Mr Investor

My first date was with Mr Investor. I won’t lie, I was as nervous as they come. I didn’t know what to expect. I was particularly worried as I had a sneaking suspicion Mr Investor would be Nigerian. Although his name on the dating website was ‘Detrick’, he had that unmistakable Nigerian accent, albeit shrouded in enough London lingo.

Confront Your Fears.Discover Traditional Ghanaian Religion

blank

This weekend, I had an intense personal experience with African traditional religion. Before you freak out, get some perspective.

Though I hold some views that would be considered radical in Ghana, in general, i’m a regular Ghanaian. I work. I take tro-tro. I dream of a better life. I look forward to teaching my children fante. Sometimes I go to church. But unlike many Ghanaians, when it comes to religion, I consider myself a truth seeker so I am open to learning about religions.

Ghanaians To Take Over Nollywood

Nadia Buari

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go, but to some Nigerians, the rate at which Ghanaian actors and actresses are trooping to Nigeria is jaw breaking. Review-A Sting In A Tale

blankA ghost story from Shirley Frimpong-Manso? Never! Well, not quite the usual African ghost movie but Shirley decided to include the most glamorous ghosts yet out of Africa in her much anticipated fourth production, ‘A Sting In A Tale’. And for me, this very much represented the general feel-good theme of the movie; it was one for laughs and not taking life too seriously.

From the trailer and synopsis that floated around before the premiere, it was clear that the movie would be full of twists and turns just in case the title was not suggestive enough. So how well was Shirley able to pull it off? I will get to that in a moment.

Several individuals from the Confidence “camp” have outlined the reasons why Confidence Haugen, who seems to be the focal point of the on-going Ayigbe Edem Theft Saga, has resulted to a muffled lip. Who is Ghana’s Best Female Perfomer: Battle Of The Divas

blankFollowing recent comments by former Big Brother Africa rep, Mimi ‘Divalish’ Andani, suggesting that she would soon become the best female artist in Ghana with the launch of her album, I couldn’t help but ask myself the question, who really is the best female performer in Ghana? According to Mimi, she is going to beat the completion like stealing candy from a kid because most Ghanaian female artist put up performances similar to that of children singing and dancing at any children’s party. And while I agree with her that some of her counterparts need a lot of work on their stage craft, Mimi has a lot to prove to me and the rest of Ghana that she could actually sing to save her performances.

But seriously though who are the best female performers in the game?

Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”-Ghanacelebrities.com’s Review

blankWhen the King of Pop released his ground breaking album “Thriller” I wasn’t even born then. When he released his follow up album “Bad,” I was all but a toddler and understandably, was oblivious to all the mania surrounding the musical genius. However, as I grew older it was impossible to shake off the impression his music had on me.

Michael Jackson is a legend who personifies perfection-his brilliance, fame and success shall never ever be equaled. On the heels of his death, like bona fide fans around the world, I struggled to come to terms with his death. I tried to find some meaning and understanding out of everything “Michael Jackson.” The new Michael Jackson movie “This Is It” reinstates why he is and will forever be the Greatest Entertainer of all times.

Ghanaian Stars And Weight

blank

One of the elements that define an African woman’s beauty is her weight. When it comes to our culture voluminous is the acceptable norm. Unfortunately, this has manifested into a disturbing prevalent mentality among most Ghanaian women as most feel the need to be to heavyset irrespective of compromising their health. Ghanaian stars are not immune to this mentality.

The usual pattern is that once a star achieves some respectable level of fame, they just start piling on the pounds. Weight gain unfortunately, is usually associated with success. It is indeed pathetic the length most will go to gain weight; this includes, but not limited to binge eating or taking pills that places their health at risk. The downside to this is that some people are uneducated on the various diseases associated with weight gain.
