In Ghana whenever a member of a group starts flirting with a solo career, more often than not it’s because a split of the group is on the way.
That ‘code’ of solo career has spelled the end of many groups (sometimes other members remain together whilst one goes off), but usually if you’re a huge fan of a group the last thing you want is to see anyone of them start going their own way.

Pope Francis Pope Francis has given all priests the power to forgive women who have had an abortion, saying the procedure was a “grave sin” but one that God’s mercy could wipe away for those with a repentant heart. The Guardian report below:
At the back of high records of rape cases in Malawi, the Malawi Council of Churches (MCC) has bagged their full support to a bill that would permit women to terminate unwanted pregnancy. Under the yet to be enacted Termination of Pregnancy Bill, expectant mothers in Malawi would be afforded the opportunity to seek abortion in certain circumstances, without having to resort to backstreet procedures that have led to the death of scores of women.
The subject of Abortion is one that is very sensitive to many but a topic that needs to be discussed since latest statistics prove that 7 out of 10 pregnancies within the African Community end in Abortion.
The statistics are troublesome because in today’s Society there are at least 20 different types and methods of birth control that can be used to prevent conception. So the question is why so many abortions? Let’s first discuss the “miracle” of conception: The chances of getting pregnant in a given cycle is surprisingly very low.
The odds are said to be about 1 in 5 each month. And there are many challenges, and obstacles that the male and female body go through to actually bond and produce a baby. The cycle of reproduction also is something that should be viewed in a positive light; and as something special and divine…but yet our women are having abortions repeatedly at a higher rate than any other race of women.
Some women have even had more than 5 abortions alone and continue to have unprotected sex doing nothing to prevent these unnecessary abortions. Many women try to justify abortion with word play…by saying that it’s a “fetus” vs. “Baby” but the truth is… it’s a baby from time of conception and have a live heartbeat in as early as 8 weeks into the pregnancy.
GhanaCelebrities.Com’s Moral Maze column is back and today, I want us to talk about abortion—how we perceive it and when we can sort of justify it… Abortion is defined as “the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to viability”. Though certain legislations in several … Read more
