Okay Fm presenter Adakabre Frimpong Manso has withdrawn his earlier accusation against New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, who he said had threatened his life in the past.
The statement generated outrage from the opposition party, who promptly called on Adakabre to substantiate his allegation or immediately apologise.

The New Patriotic Party has called on popular radio host Adakabre Frimpong Manso to either report the party’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to the police for assault, or render an unconditional apology if he fails to do so.
The position was contained in a statement released by the party and signed by Deputy Communications director Anthony Karbo, in response to allegations Adakabre made that the NPP flagbearer threatened his life.
