Captain Solomon Quainoo, the Ghanaian pilot who piloted the biggest passenger aircraft in the world, Airbus A380 from the United Arab Emirates, Dubai to Accra to commemorate the newly built Terminal 3 of the Kotoka International Airport couldn’t help it but shed tears on live radio.

The captain who made a historic landing of Airbus A380 on the tarmac of the $250 million newly built Terminal in an interview with the Chairman General, Kwame Sefa-Kayi on Peace FM disclosed that if not for his school father, late Jerry John Owu (Koforidua Sec Tech) and Nicholas Sarpong, his dream of becoming a pilot wouldn’t have materialised.

Ghana’s $250 million newly constructed Terminal at the Kotoka International Airport is set to be commissioned today, October 2, 2018.

As part of the historic commemoration, United Arab Emirate carrier, Emirates has scheduled a one-off flight to Accra on its famous and biggest Airbus A380.
