There has been an alarming lack of developments in the Castro/Janet Bandu mysterious disappearance for a while now. It seemed for a while that as with all things, it had come to an end- but this new development coming from Janet Bandu’s father is definite to get tongues wagging again on the saga.
Janet’s parents have never minced their words when it comes to the level of responsibility they attach to Castro for the disappearance of their daughter. They have always maintained that if he ever resurfaced, he better have their daughter in tow or face some consequences.
The issue of whether Castro is alive has been one of the more popular theories surrounding the entire saga, and now Mr Bandu says according to some sources, he is aware that Castro is alive and well and hiding in Takoradi.
In principle, I refused not to go and cover such an inane gathering because the Gyan’s failed to assure me of my safety. Secondly, their attack on one of my compeers who asked them a question is one that I still feel justice has not been seen served to whom it is due – the journalist by name Daniel Kenu of Graphic Communication.
Thirdly, I refused to cover because it’s Asamoah Gyan I feel the masses want to hear from and not a lawyer. Finally, I refused to cover to serve as a boycott-precedence so that others will not attack journalists or any human being for asking a question – unfortunately, some people who hold pen, paper and write were present to cover.

The Castro and Janet Bandu’s disappearance saga won’t be ending anytime soon—as Peace Fm has managed to pull Alberta, the friend of Janet Bandu who invited her to Ada for an interview—and she was really beating about the bush.
According to Alberta, Janet Bandu did not know Castro from anywhere—but Janet just jumped at the back of Castro’s JetSki even though they had been told, one person per JetSki. And at that point, Castro even asked Janet Bandu to get down but she wouldn’t listen…
It is shocking that, Janet who did not know Castro from anywhere as claimed by Alberta would just jumped on Castro’s JetSki—this doesn’t really add up.
Alberta used her interview on Peace Fm to addressed rumours that she is Asmaoah Gyan’s girlfriend, saying, there is no truth in that. She also denied that they were some sort of groupies…
As mentioned above, she made it clear that Castro did not know Janet Bandu from anywhere; and that they just met at Ada for the first time through her.
As the interview came to a near end, lawyer-Maurice Ampaw (the lawyer who has promised to reveal the truth) also called to disclose certain new information. He stated that Alberta was lying in her submission, especially on her claim that she slept in a different from Janet Bandu all alone—and not that the girls were sharing their rooms with the men.
Interestingly, Alberta mentioned that she has not been contacted by the police to write a statement or to be questioned—this is also shocking, considering the fact that she is a key witness and the person who invited Janet Bandu over to Ada.
