Saturday’s explosion at Atomic Junction in Madina saw many people narrowly miss suffering the misfortune of those who died who were injured in the blast.
The massive blast ignited mass pandemonium, as people run for their lives from the expanding blaze. Many abandoned their cars to flee on foot.

7 people have been confirmed dead and another 132 injured in Saturday night’s deadly explosion at Atomic Junction.
An official statement released by government Sunday gave out the official numbers, with victims spread out either at the 37 Military Hospital or at the Police Hospital.

Ghana nearly witnessed a fatal catastrophe yesterday when a Gas Station at Atomic Junction exploded into a gigantic fireball.
Reports from the grounds this morning by Broadcaster, Kojo Yankson indicates that the explosion was caused by a Khebab seller who operates just across the street of the Gas station.

Saturday night was a nightmare for residents of Atomic Junction, Madina and its environs, as a gas station exploded, throwing up a huge fireball and plunging the area into chaos.
Official figures on dead and wounded have not been released yet but there’s no question there would be mass casualties from the disaster, an ugly reminder of June 3rd 2015 and how little we’ve progressed since then.
