The late Highlife musician, Anokye Supremo was then popularly known as Daddy Lumba Jnr who never made it back to Ghana alive after being sent to India for a brain tumour surgery, was finally laid to rest a few days ago.

Even though there is no happiness in attending one’s funeral but Anokye Supremo’s burial ceremony was one the saddest ever I have ever seen in Ghana as his own colleagues in the music industry, as well as MUSIGA itself, refused to show their faces there due to reasons known to themselves.

Dealing with death is never an easy thing, but it becomes much worse to handle when the person who dies is such a young person. Dying at a young age simply robs you of enjoying as much as you can in this wonderful life and hopefully passing at a ripe old age.

High-life singer Anokye Supremo was then popularly known as Daddy Lumba Jnr is fighting tumour sickness in India but here in Ghana, fingers are being pointed at his mentor, Daddy Lumba.

There’s a 32-year-old man/musician by name Daddy Lumba Jnr who tries to look much like Daddy Lumba though there’s some natural resemblance. Apart from similar physical looks, this young man has all Lumba’s gestures from his way of singing, talking and diction. Let’s say he is just the black and white photocopy of Daddy Lumba which he says it’s all by spiritual means and not his personal desire.

Daddy Lumba Jnr. whose real name is Kwame Anokye told Delay on the Delay Show that it’s even possible his late mother had an affair with Lumba to give birth to him and he wouldn’t mind going for a DNA test when he feels like. According to Kwame, the Lumba-look-alike path he has chosen has caused a sour relationship between him and his biological father.
