The host of TV Africa’s “Konkonsa Police” show, Afia Schwarzenegger has added her voice to the social media campaign, #IStandWithOtabil concerning the involvement of Dr Mensa Otabil in the squandering of the Ghc610m taxpayers’ money granted by the Bank of Ghana to Capital Bank. Afia even though decided to stay off the issue but the #IStandWithOtabil social media campaign by some Ghanaians have pissed her off hence breaking her silence on the issue.

Pastor Mensa Otabil Ghanaians are the biggest ostriches this planet have ever seen. No matter what goes on with pastors like Otabil their indoctrination would not allow them to admit one man is amassing so much wealth at their own expense. Otabil literally tells them I need your money to chop, ostensibly to serve God in heaven and they happily give it to him yet diss anyone who dares make any comments about it.
Founder and Head Pastor of International Central Gospel Church (I.C.G.C.), Reverend Doctor Mensa Otabil has disclosed that his mother used to be telling him that he was the ugliest among all her kids. Mensa Otabil who is gifted in teaching, inspiring and motivating Ghanaians, Africans and the World, in general, made this revelation to his congregation during church service on Sunday 29th April 2018 as he usually does and therefore, taught them not be using bad words because there is power in words.
Pastor Mensa Otabil Founder and leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, aka Prophet Kumchacha, has hit back at Mensa Otabil after the latter said some of those insulting him ‘look like insults themselves’. Kumchacha seems to have taken that personally and has responded with the line that people who hate criticism are like animals.
Ghanaians were shocked Monday when the Bank of Ghana swiftly announced that two Ghanaian banks – Capital Bank and UT Bank – were both insolvent and had been sold to GCB Bank. The Bank was thus taking over the operations and infrastructure of the two banks, helping save the deposits of customers who would otherwise been in distress had the two banks gone bankrupt.
Dr Mensa Otabil has been described as a political preacher–others may agree with this and many others many disagree, depending on where a person belongs.
However, when presented with facts, every reasonable person must come to the same conclusion–and this is what we seek to do with this post.
Though Mensa Otabil, the founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) remains one of Ghana’s most respected preachers, he is equally the most confused–and his sermons/messages over the years clearly show this.
In a follow-up sermon, he used the popular Ghanaian fufu dish as an example, saying, eating with hands is not only unhygienic but arguments that eating with your hand is African is completely stupid. He explained that the white man used to eat with his hands too–but time changes and a new better way of eating has emerged in response to the moving time.
The above message denotes brilliance–but it clearly contradicts the sort of logic this same man churns out, most times.
It seems to be taking some people longer to realise the ignorance and chameleon character of Mensa Otabil, who is sadly praised as one of the most intelligent preachers in Ghana.
Over the weekend, Otabil’s chameleon nature was noticed by some Ghanaians on social media–and he became a subject of an interesting conversation, led by Kofi Adoli and others.
Though Adoli, a Ghanaian social media commentator is mostly mischievous, this time, he was just pointing out the obvious–that, Mensa Otabil is no different to the many preachers in Ghana, perhaps the only difference is that he’s a little sophisticated in his methods.
Otabil under the NDC government a few months ago challenged Ghanaians not to become sleeping dogs by just accepted tarred roads and electricity–obviously implying that Ghanaians ought to complain and challenge the government to do more.
There is a problem with hypocrisy deeply embedded within the fabric of most religions, which starts from the process of ‘cherry-picking’ – by which the religious go through their holy books and adhere to some laws and ignore others.
A great example is the Christian attitude to divorce and homo-s*xuality. Jesus ranted and raved about divorce and never mentioned the gays – but Christians, who claim we now live under the ‘grace’ of Jesus, hate gays with a passion yet get divorced themselves all the time with no compunction.
Abraham Attah at the 88th Academy Awards ETV’s annual most influential Ghanaian list for this year has been released, and founder and head pastor of the International Central Gospel Church, Dr Mensa Otabil, has finished top for the second year running. Dr Otabil finished ahead of Patrick Awuah, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
