The minority NDC walked out of Parliament earlier today as the new Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan, widow of the late MP Emmanuel Agyarko, was sworn into her seat.
The NDC ‘withdrew’ from the election whilst it was ongoing due to some violent incidents, including an NPP vigilante group manhandling their Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George.
After the death of the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremanten Agyarko, his wife and widow Lydia Alhassan wasted no time in declaring her political ambitions and standing for the seat.
Thus just about two months after her husband’s death, Lydia has already won the seat he vacated via his death and is now the member of Parliament from Ayawaso West.
The opposition National Democratic Congress has decided to pull out of the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election following violent attacks on its polling agents.

There are many arguments Ghanaians love to make when certain ‘contentious’ issue comes up, like homos*xuality or evolution, arguments which knowledgeable people know are wrong but because Ghanaians are Ghanaians, we still haven’t discovered they are wrong or even if we have, we completely disregard them.
One great example is the argument that even animals do not practice homos*xuality, so why should us as humans practice it?
