There was a time in history when Ghanaian gospel was one of the strongest genres in the entire industry. There was a healthy contingent of top-class stars who churned out hit after hit with no pause.

It was a true golden age for Gospel, and the genre stood its ground against secular music in selling Ghana not just across the continent but all over the world.

Unfortunately, as the years went by the genre became heavily diluted. Gospel music has lost both its divine inspiration and its place among the pantheon of top Ghanaian music genres. The industry has also become one big, backstabbing fest with artists accusing each other of disgraceful acts which are not befitting of any gospel artist.
