The Acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Freddy Blay, has been appointed as the board chairman of the state run Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC).

The appointment was made by the President and communicated in a memo to GNPC signed by Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare.

The outspoken, controversial Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon Kennedy Agyepong, has alleged that the NDC is planning the murder of himself and two other prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) members.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam (where he famously made his ‘bofrot’ comment last week), Kennedy Agyepong said the current acting NPP  Chairman, Freddy Blay, and Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) have also been targeted for assassination.

The acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddy Blay, says the winds of change are blowing in the Volta Region, the region which has historically been described as the ‘world bank’ of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The Volta Region is the NDC’s most loyal region, delivering huge margins of victory to the party in every election. But after the recent NPP campaign in the region the party are claiming the people are ready for change after years of neglect from the NDC.
