Musician/Comedian A Plus has come to the defence of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP government over the Ghc 20m Ghana @ 60 celebrations which has Ghanaians pretty unhappy.
A Plus, in a post on social media, argues that in light of the excesses of the previous administration, those NDC supporters crying foul are simply being hypocritical.
The 30 member Ghana @ 60 Planning Committee, whose appointments by the President led to huge public discontent, have revealed that they have agreed not to be paid any allowances for the work they do on the committee.
According to Committee chair Ken Amankwaa, they would not receive a dime from the national coffers for their work.
Ghanaians voted for change on December 7, soundly kicking the butts of the NDC to bring Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP into office, to deliver on their numerous campaign promises.
Whilst delivering on the promises are good ( and we can’t judge that yet) – more important is reining in unnecessary public expenditure and rooting out corruption.
