Legendary singer Akosua Agyapong has joined the chorus of voices describing the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) as corrupt.
Shatta Wale made news in recent days when he called on GHAMRO to pay him his royalties, or else… he would go ‘haywire’.
The Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) are probably not too happy about Shatta Wale turning their sights on them.
After the ‘dancehall king’ threatened to ‘go haywire’ unless he received his royalties, GHAMRO has responded to say the royalties are there but have not been paid to Shatta because he did not fill out his forms properly.
‘Dancehall king’ Shatta Wale has taken on and subdued many bigger and better brands than GHAMRO so we’re guessing they probably do not want him turning his eyes on them right now.
The Ghana Music Rights Organisation, which is in charge of receiving and distributing royalties to musicians in Ghana, has routinely been criticised by many stars for not giving their the royalties they collect.
