Gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy has rescinded her decision to return the VGMA awards plaques she has won due to allegations of bribery levelled against gospel artists by CharterHouse’s PRO George Quaye.

Speaking to Mike 2 on Adom Fm, the singer’s manager and husband, Isaac Twum-Ampofo, said the singer was no more returning the plaques because CharterHouse had taken steps that has dissociated themselves from Quaye’s irresponsible comments.

CharterHouse Relieves George Quaye Of Spokesperson Duties

CharterHouse, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, has stripped communications director George Quaye of all duties in relations to being a spokesperson for the VGMA board.

At a press conference held in the capital Friday, Quaye was relieved of his duties as a spokesperson for the VGMA board, which chooses nominees and winners of the awards.
