Dancehall king Shatta Wale is celebrating a massive milestone following his much talked about, much hyped and simultaneously much derided music video ‘Gringo’ hitting 1million views on YouTube.
As controversial as he is everything he does trends therefore despite people bashing the video, the views keep climbing.
The latest ‘challenge’ to hit social media and get Ghanaians laughing is the ‘Gringo’ challenge, in which people dress up and reenact the video to Shatta Wale’s recent music video for ‘Gringo’.
‘Gringo’ was shot on set in Texas in Donald Trump’s United States of America, and it saw everyone’s favourite ‘dancehall king’ going full cowboy.
Obviously, Shatta Wale is desperate to make his recently premiered music video, ‘Gringo’ number one–he has called on the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo to hashtag his song on social media, apparently for more views.

Controversial Ghanaian fetish priest, born Stephen Osei Mensah and widely known as Nana Kwaku Bonsam has been spotted in a video nodding his head uncontrollably to the new song from Shatta Wale titled ‘Gringo’.
In the video, Nana Kwaku Bonsam put on a look-alike hat of what Shatta Wale wore in his ‘Gringo’ music video. Kwaku Bonsam who seemed clueless about the song’s lyrics nodded his head as the song played in the background.
Shatta Wale’s ‘Gringo’ has set Ghana on fire since its release as the discussion surrounding it goes on nonstop.

Ghanaian popular reggae-dancehall superstar, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, well known as Shatta Wale under the management of Zylofon Media has finally released the long-awaited visuals of his overhyped dancehall song, “Gringo”.
The video which was directed by Sesan is said to be his first time most expensive video shoot since he started his music career.
Shatta Wale’s over-hyped and much-awaited music video ‘Gringo’ is set to be premiered today on Zylofon TV.
