He has appointed many great names in the industry to help champion his goals. One of such greats is Hammer of the Last Two, well known for the discovery of great talents such as Obrafuor, Edem, Tinny and the likes.

Hammer has been appointed the National Director of Hiplife and Hip-pop at MUSIGA. To assist him with his duties is PY Addo Baoteng, a onetime co- host of ‘The One Show’ with Joselyn Dumas.

In an interview after his appointment, Hammer outlined a few developments he and his team would be bringing to the Hiplife and Hip-pop fraternity of MUSIGA.

The man who made and has worked with majority of Ghana’s best musicians-Hammer of the Last Two Records (real name Edward Nana Poku Osei) has commended Ghanaian musician-Rex Omar for a GREAT come back—adding that, real music is back in Ghana and that people should watch and learn.

A few days ago, Rex Omar who has been on a musical hiatus for many years released a new single titled-Paapa. Beyond the great reception the song has received, Hammer sort of says, it’s the greatest he has heard in a long time.

On his facebook page, he wrote; “Rex Omar’s Paapa is undoubtedly one of the best songs I’ve heard in recent times. Real music is back in gh. Watch and learn guys.”

When GhanaCelebrities.Com reached out to Hammer to find out why he think’s Rex’s latest is so great, he said;

“What do I like about it? Well it’s refreshingly relaxing for one… A breath of fresh air.

Hammer of the Last Two Music Group (real name Edward Nana Poku Osei) is currently in the United Kingdom for business and GhanaCelebrities.Com caught up with him at his plush hotel for an in-depth industry chit chat.

Asked about his take on the progress and development of the Ghanaian music industry, Hammer said; the industry has grown substantially over the last few years and gave his reasons as to why he thinks so.

On Ghana Music Awards, Hammer mentioned that even though he appreciates the concept of the award scheme and recognizes the yearly improvements—he thinks the Board needs to sit up. According to Hammer, the instances of Producers and artistes Managers being on the board when their artistes are contesting for awards taint the credibility of the award scheme…

Also, Hammer opened up to us about why despite his immense contribution to Ghana Music, he is yet to win a VGMA.

When asked which artiste deserves to win the all-important Artiste of the Year Award, he shouted out; Shatta Wale and gave his reasons…

Organizers of this year’s 4Syte TV Music Video Awards have disclosed ahead of the main awards night that celebrated Music Producer Edward (Hammer) of the Last Two Music Group will be honoured.

As part of the awards ceremony two non-competitive categories “Lifetime Achievement Awards” and “Living Legend Award” is presented annually to deserving individuals (Dead or alive) who have contributed immensely to the development of their respective fields.

4Stye Music Video Awards has since its inception rewarded the hard work of pioneers in the film and music industry, including Reggie Rockstone, Ivan Quashigah, Abraham Ohene Djan, Ramesh Jai, Kwaw Ansah and Allen Gyimah, Prof. Kofi Middleton Mends with the Living Legend and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
