Henrietta filed for divorce in October, 2013 citing infidelity and the divorce was granted on 14th January, 2014. Since the two former lovers could not agree on properties share, an Accra High Court ordered the sale of certain properties including the above mansion—on the basis that proceeds would be equally shared.
Interestingly, the divorce petition which was filed in Accra cited infidelity alongside John Mensah having neglected his fatherly responsibilities by leaving the total upkeep of their children to Henrietta alone at their Trasacco residence.
